Some Disney Dreamlight Valley players are getting stuck on a loading screen during gameplay, forcing them to close out and relaunch the game. Often this is caused by server issues, so you’ll want to check those first.
Check Your Server Status
Since server congestion or other issues tends to be the main culprit when you get stuck on a loading screen in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll want to check whether the platform you’re playing on or the game itself are seeing any server hangups.
You can check whether your platform experiences any server issues here:
You can also follow official Disney Dreamlight Valley Twitter page of the developer to find out all about server issues and updates.
In this case all you can do is wait before the servers restore their normal working conditions.
Install the Latest Patch
On September 15, the developer released a new patch with the following statement:
“Fixed Error #7, which caused some players to experience an issue with the game sticking on the loading screen if they quit the game while having the “Well Fed” active buff.”
The next day, the developer has released the following statement in Steam for users who got stuck on loading screen after encountering a minor bug during gameplay, which says:
“Australian and New Zealand players will get Initialisation error 7 after logging out with the gold energy buff. This means that they are unable to log back into the game. Also seems to cause an error with food items where they will not always work the first time being used. (Fixed by changing your computer clock time zone to an unaffected timezone, though this does not prevent the issue happening again).”
The patch that fixes this issue has been released on September 16, so if you haven’t updated your game after this date, be sure to do so.
You can also make sure that your Steam app updates games automatically, by doing the following:
