While the future of Double Fine Productions has been somewhat up in the air following the studio’s official separation from Microsoft/Xbox, now is as good a time as any to get stuck into the newly-indie team’s past history of work. In partnership with Humble, PC players can now get their hands on the Double Fine Bundle – featuring many of the studio’s most iconic games.
Available to obtain for the next three weeks or so, the Double Fine Humble Bundle is purchasable in two forms. Paying just £4.52 will net you the following:
- Spacebase DF-9
- Hack ‘n’ Slash
- Stacking
- Iron Brigade
- Costume Quest
- Massive Chalice
- Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin
Paying the full amount of £7.24 meanwhile will get you access to all the above plus:
- Kiln
- Broken Age
- Brutal Legend
- Psychonauts
Though this line-up represents a solid collection of most of the studio’s biggest games, there are some notable exceptions such as the sequels Costume Quest 2 and Psychonauts 2. That said, their most recent release – the pottery-making multiplayer game Kiln – is included in the bundle.
As always, a portion of the money raised will go towards charity, with this bundle supporting Day of the Devs: a non-profit organisation co-founded by Double Fine whose mission is “to celebrate the creativity, diversity and magic of video games, give a voice to emerging or underrepresented talent, and to connect players with developers, and their games.”
