Elden Ring’s Dark Moon Greatsword Has Been Turned Into A Stunning Collectible

Two years on from its release, we’ll all have the chance to revisit Elden Ring this summer when its Shadow of the Erdtree DLC drops. Presumably a bulky expansion based on FromSoftware’s prior offerings and its $40 price tag. Until then, we can keep traversing The Lands Between in weird and wonderful ways. Oh, and we can pretend to be a Tarnished in the real world by picking up this scale replica of Elden Ring’s Dark Moon Greatsword.

Panda Studio left a lot of Elden Ring fans with their jaws on the floor this week when it revealed a real-life version of the weapon you can get from Ranni the Witch (thanks, Kotaku). Usually, when you see this sort of thing, it’s a meticulously crafted one-of-a-kind item someone has used to create their own cosplay. One out of three for the Greatsword. While it has been meticulously crafted, it isn’t a one-of-a-kind, and it isn’t for a specific person’s cosplay.

Yes, of course the Collector’s Edition includes a very cool statue.

Anyone can own their own Greatsword, but as you will have rightlyy assumed by this point, it’s going to cost you. We Are Anime Collectors has the sword listed for $459, and that doesn’t account for shipping costs. Standing at almost five feet tall, I’d hazard to guess the sword will cost quite a bit to pack up and send elsewhere. The video below shows part of its production process, showing the sword being sprayed blue making it appear powered up at all times. Handy.

There are two versions of the Greatsword available, both priced at $459. They’re described as Wall-mounted and Full body mirror versions. The mirror version comes with a support frame, and the wall-mounted version has hooks and screws so you can put it up on the wall. So really, if you’re dead set on buying one, the only decision you need to make now is do you want to admire it, or do you want to make it an extension of yourself? There is no in-between.

Elden Ring Dark Moon Greatsword Replica

Panda Studio’s Dark Moon Greatsword is a 1:1 replica of Ranni the Witch’s sword in Elden Ring. Sprayed blue so it’s always powered up, and available to mount on your wall or to carry around if that’s your thing.

The swords will start shipping in the second half of 2024, so once we’re all playing Shadow of the Erdtree. In fact, by the time our swords arrive in the mail, we’ll have likely started the Elden Ring cycle again and will already be beating bosses with dance mats and controllers made of bananas. If you want to build on your Elden Ring look beyond a sword alone, you can also pre-order Messmer the Impaler’s helmet.
