How To Start Encounters of the Wild Side Tale in Ghost of Yotei

For this quest, you need to make your way to the Shipwreck Shoal, northeast of the Teshio Ridge region. When you reach this location, you will spot a house in the distance that you cannot reach at the moment. Nearby are two wooden fox carvings that you can interact with, which is the first part of the puzzle. Interact with the left statue to make it face right, and then interact with the right statue to make it face left. Basically, they will be facing each other, and a rope will appear, allowing you to make it to the other side.

The puzzle is not over yet, as you will have to interact with two more fox statues. This time, make the left statue face left and the right statue face right so they are facing away from each other. This will allow you to approach the wall up ahead and head inside. Grab all the items and pray at the Altar of Reflection for a free Skill Point. Afterward, grab the scroll on the left of the room, which mentions the Sarufutsu Lighthouse and starts The Encounters of the Wild side tale.

How To Solve The Sarufutsu Lighthouse Puzzle in Ghost of Yotei

Once you have the scroll, head out and look to your left to spot the Lighthouse in the distance. Call your horse and make your way over to the Lighthouse and enter it. Inside, you will find more fox statues on the left as well as the right of the room.

Interact with the fox statues on the left and make them face each other. This will allow you to grab the statue in the middle and place it on the left pedestal. Do the same with the right side and make them face each other. Once you put the other statue down, the wall up ahead will be interactable, and you can go through to reach the Hunting Camp Hideout.

There are no enemies in the hideout, so no need to get ready for any fights. Simply head down toward the cage and free the fox inside. Follow the fox as it leads you to the Sanctuary Grove. It is here you will find an NPC who is looking after all the animals in the sanctuary, and after grabbing the items, you can approach the deer to the right of the house, which will lead you to the exit. Climb the scaffolds to find an Altar of Reflection and ultimately leave this area.
