Once players complete the main story in Aniimo, there is still plenty to do across the world of Aniimo. While finishing the Core Courses of the Elite Training and Main Story Quests might feel like the end of the journey, the game offers several post-game activities that give players reasons to continue exploring, training their Aniimo, and developing their Homeland.
This Aniimo post-game guide covers what players should do after completing the main story, including Holo-Battle Sims, Operation Egg Heist ranks and rewards, Homeland Management, and Legendary Journey Quests. These activities provide additional ways to earn rewards, strengthen Aniimo, manage resources, and continue progressing. Whether players are looking for Aniimo endgame activities, ways to level up their Aniimo and Pathfinder, or simply wondering what to do after beating Aniimo, this guide breaks down the main post-game options available.
What To Do After Beating Aniimo?
Aniimo is a long journey, and after players finish up their Elite Training as Pathfinders and complete the Main Story Quest, it will be time for the real endgame/post-game activity rotation that will keep players busy until the next content drop.
There are essentially 8 activities players should prioritize to collect in-game rewards and currencies, and upgrade their Aniimo team to the maximum:
- Map Completion/Exploration – Collection Badges & Lumin Amber
- Journey Quests – Sub Quests
- Nurture / Prismana Hunt
- Events
- Legendary Journey Quests
- Operation Egg Heist
- Holo-Battle Sim/Interlink
- Homeland Management
Some of these require daily dedication (AKA Grinding), so let’s take a look at each of these activities in detail.
Post-Game Exploration in Aniimo (Lumin Ambers, Badges, Sanctuaries & More)
After players beat the game, they will still be able to enjoy most of the activities in the world of Idyll, including Aniimo Hunting, Exploration, and many activities related to collectibles and unlocking puzzles.
Each zone has a certain number of Chests, Sanctuaries, Puzzles, Secrets, Pathfinder Challenges, and also Lumin Ambers. The latter are the most important since feeding Ambers to the Branch will unlock tons of buffs and rewards that improve the collection of Prismatic Energy and enable players to use the Nurture mechanic to spawn Prismana Aniimo.
Sanctuaries, on the other hand, are also a source of Chests, Rewards, and Lumin Ambers, since each completed Sanctuary will unlock an extra Amber for your Pathfinder.
Each Sanctuary offers a different type of challenge, mostly related to Twining with a particular Aniimo and beating environmental puzzles (breaking Stones with Magmarex, for example).
Players will also need to invest lots of time nailing those Capture Badges in each region. Here’s a little help for you, with a list of all the regions and their Aniimo:
Completing Journey Quests in Aniimo
Journey Quests are a great way to know about some of the rarest and most mysterious creatures living in the Idyll. Many Aniimo evolutions or Legendary Forms can only be unlocked if players complete these Sub Quests.
Learning about the Aniimo Ecology also unlocks Research Points that help players get Voxel Coins, Credits, and other important In-Game Currency.
For example: The only way to unlock Flameruff’s branching evolution (Inferlupa) is to complete the Beast Fang Ridge Legend Journey Quest.
Other Journey Quests, like the Everlasting Echoback Song, serve the purpose of adding context about the world and unlock rewards such as Curios, Glimmer, Sparkling Crystals, Irisalis Petals, Evolution Materials, and Report Cards (needed to unlock passives and abilities for your Pathfinder).
Some Journey Quests can even unlock alternate forms for Aniimo (such is the case of the Legend of the Golden Helmet Quest), which wouldn’t spawn on the map otherwise.
If you want to achieve 100% completion and earn tons of rewards needed to level up your Aniimo to the maximum, then this is the way to do it. Just open the Log (L on PC) and check every Quest, Journey, and Clue available to uncover Idyll’s secrets.
Nurture and Prismana Aniimo Hunt
Prismana Aniimo are part of your Endgame challenge, and through the Nurture Mechanic, you’ll be able to encounter these powerful versions of regular Aniimo to aid you in your journey.
To make any Prismana Aniimo appear, you need to collect Prismatic Energy in each of the regions of the map, which have their unique Prismana Aniimo spawn (and an alternate Spawn during Vein Abundance events).
To collect Prismatic Energy, you need to interact with the bloom to attract Aniimo to the area in a phenomenon called Wild Surge. Each activation of a Wild Surge consumes Vein Essence, a consumable that can be acquired from Stamp Shop, Elite Training, Catch Completion Rewards, Nurture Branch, Holo-Battle Interlink, Core Course Completion, and other activities. Each day, players gain a certain amount of Free-Tries that replace Vein Essence consumption, so use them wisely.
Plus, players might be able to activate a Lucky Catch, which grants tons of Prismatic Energy. During Vein Abundance events, Lucky Catches happen more frequently.
And, as mentioned before, certain Prismana Aniimo (Like Glynsera, or Melloblum) only spawn during Vein Abundance events, so keep an eye out for them.
Completing Events in Aniimo
Events are Seasonal, Weekly, and Daily activities that players can complete in order to earn special rewards, like Seasonal Aniimo (Sparkelf, Dazmand, etc.) and even Legendaries like Irisalis.
There are certain events (Like the Season Pass Stamp Collection event) that allows players to collect important rewards that otherwise would be impossible or too expensive (paid with IRL money) to afford.
So, it is important to keep track of every event in the game: Here’s a Weekly Activity Schedule for you to take a look at.
Legendary Journey Quests
Legendary Journey Quests (like Walking with Irisalis) are special Seasonal Quests that will send players on an errand to collect certain items required to unlock special encounters with Legendary Aniimo.
These Aniimo will be available during certain time lapses, so capturing them is a priority. As an endgame activity, it can be as challenging as an Omega Aniimo, so be prepared for a tough fight.
Operation Egg Heist
Playing Operation Egg Heist in Aniimo can be one of the most rewarding activities to complete after finishing the main story. It is also one of the trickiest and most taxing grinds in the game, since players need to level up their Egg Hunting Rank to unlock better items, better rewards, and also to compete against other players for the best items in this game mode.
Since Operation Egg Heist is a PvPvE Extraction Looter, it can be frustrating and hard to master. But once players upgrade their Traits and discover its gimmicks, it can also be quite fun, especially when played with friends.
How to Play Holo-Battle Sim/Interlink in Aniimo
Holo-Battle Sim and Holo-Battle Interlink are two very distinctive game modes related to end-game challenges in Aniimo.
- Holo-Battle Sim is a rogue-like Mode, where players fight waves of enemies, purchase boosters or heal their teams between waves, and try to survive as much as possible until reaching the final boss. Challenges are divided per Aniimo Element, and currently, there are Fire, Grass, and Water challenges to beat. Rewards for completing Holo-Battle Sim challenges might include EXP, Capaseed, Flux Crystals, and Credits.
- Holo-Battle Interlink is a boss arena challenge where various players unite to defeat a single uber-powerful Boss Aniimo, like an Alpha or an Omega Aniimo. It requires players to unlock Trailblazer I to participate, but the rewards are worth the trouble.
Homeland Management in Aniimo
Finally, managing your Homeland can be a source of entertainment after the Aniimo Main Story Quest is over, but it is also a great way to pile up rewards like Voxel Coins, Credits, Stamps, and other currencies and Evolution Items.
Following The Homeland’s New Milestone Quest guided by Fanni, players will be able to build their own little pocket dimension farms, and completing Delivery Quests by farming and crafting items will yield dozens of valuables.
This requires time, though, but since players will have lots ot time to spare until new content arrives, then what better way to spend it than doing some homesteading?
