Updated by Josh Coulson on March 20, 2024: Xbox has revealed a handful of other titles coming to Game Pass this month, including The Quarry, Evil West, and Open Roads on day one.
Xbox Game Pass remains one of the best deals in gaming, opening up a library of hundreds of games for a monthly fee to anyone who has a subscription, not to mention Xbox exclusives the day they launch. The rotation is refreshed every month too, and the first titles coming to Game Pass throughout March 2024 have now been revealed. Everything coming to the subscription service, along with links to their store pages as they’re added, can be found below. Scroll to the bottom if you want to know what will be leaving Game Pass this month so you can play them before it’s too late.

2024 is shaping up to be a big year for Warhammer 40K fans. Not only are we getting Space Marine 2 in September and a Darktide card game adaptation before that, but Boltgun is coming to Game Pass. Scratch that. By the time you read this, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun will be on Game Pass meaning you can download and play it as soon as you’re done reading this. The game takes the Warhammer 40K series back to the 1990s, giving you a 2D, pixelated adventure to blast your way through, for the latest time or the first time, as you wait for Darktide’s card game and Space Marine 2.

A Paw Patrol game? On my Game Pass? Well, for a lot of subscribers, Game Pass isn’t a me thing. As someone with a son who is equally enamored by video games and Paw Patrol, Paw Patrol World coming to Game Pass is music to my ears. Little ones can explore the world as Paw Patrol as their favorite characters, or if the curiosity gets the better of you, you can grab a controller and join in the fun as this particular Paw Patrol game has a co-op mode.

Surprise! Xbox has continued its trend of dropping one game per month with absolutely no forewarning by adding NBA 2K24 to Game Pass. Most studios give out their most recent sports games via subscription services a few months ahead of releasing the next installment. That means even more people will start playing, the hope being they enjoy the experience so much that they buy the upcoming game instead of waiting for it to potentially be on Game Pass this time next year.

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? You can this month thanks to Game Pass. The remastered version of SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle For Bikini Bottom comes to the subscription service on March 12, putting the responsibility of making sure SpongeBob’s hometown stays out of Plankton’s control at your feet. Perhaps you’ll be playing it on the Best Buy-exclusive SpongeBob Series X.

Now for something very, very different. Control isn’t SpongeBob, and it ain’t no Paw Patrol. A supernatural adventure not only brought to you by the developers of Alan Wake 2, but a game that has since been confirmed to be taking place in the same universe. Control’s Ultimate Edition combines the base game with its two post-launch expansions, and that’s the version coming to Game Pass this month.

Wait, you didn’t hear? Travis Touchdown is back. He’s been back for a while as No More Heroes 3 was released during the summer of 2021. If you missed out due to the sea of other big games released between then and now, don’t worry, Game Pass is about to throw you a bone. Continue Touchdown’s story and battle through ten more enemies in the latest installment in the No More Heroes series when it lands on Game Pass on March 14.

Lightyear Frontier takes cozy farming sims to the next level as this one takes place in outer space. Not the kind of distant planet normally portrayed in video games, this one is peaceful, allowing you to build a home and craft a mech either alone or with friends.
Lightyear Frontier, a brand new farming game from Frame Break, comes to Game Pass on day one this month. Do note that this one is labeled as a game preview, much in the same way as Palworld was (and still is) when it launched on Game Pass earlier this year. That means this isn’t the final version of the game and will effectively be early access. All that said, if you like the sound of a farming game in space, Lightyear Frontier will be right up your alley.

MLB The Show, baseball’s leading annual video game series, is back again for 2024. Featuring updated rosters and new features, MLB The Show 24 is the closest thing to the real thing beyond picking up a bat and heading to the big leagues yourself.
All this talk of Xbox games coming to other platforms and budding up with PlayStation, MLB The Show has been doing that for years. Not only is MLB The Show 24 a PlayStation-published title that will launch on all major platforms, it’s coming to Game Pass on day one. That’s quite something, and just to make the pot even sweeter for Game Pass subscribers hurting from Hi-Fi Rush’s imminent arrival on PS5, the version of MLB The Show 24 coming to the service unlocks four days early and includes deluxe edition content.

The Quarry is an interactive horror from Supermassive Games, creators of The Dark Pictures series. Nine teenagers have to survive a night at Hackett’s Quarry, a summer camp, while being stalked by hunters and supernatural creatures.
The star-studded cast of The Quarry is coming to Game Pass. You will determine the fate of nine camp counselors as they attempt to survive a night that was supposed to be a relaxing way to cap off the summer with friends now the kids are gone. You make the decisions, and that means you ultimately decide who lives and dies and in which direction your story goes.
Evil West: March 21 On Consoles, PC, And Cloud

Developed by Polish studio Flying Wild Hog, Evil West is a third-person shooter that tasks you with eliminating a supernatural threat from the frontiers of the United States.
Fight as a cowboy in the Wild West with a twist in Evil West when it comes to Game Pass. That’s actually a very big twist as the Wild West depicted in Evil West is one unlike any version you’ve ever seen before, even the one with Daniel Craig fighting aliens. This one has you harnessing the power of lightning to fend off vampires. Cowboys vs. Vampires wins out over Cowboys vs. Aliens if you ask me, especially when it’s free on Game Pass.

Aliens have invaded Earth and predictably, the human race cannot decide what to do. Seven groups, each with different ideas on what to do next, and it’s up to you to lead one to victory on Earth and beyond.
There are a lot of games and movies that try to imagine what might happen if aliens invaded Earth. What Terra Invicta nails when it comes to predicting that grim future is humans won’t be able to agree on how to deal with it. The first thing you’ll need to do in the game is decide which of the seven factions you agree with. You will then lead that faction into battle against rival nations and then into space as you take the fight to other planets.
Diablo 4: March 28 On Consoles And PC

An action RPG from Blizzard, Diablo 4 follows on from Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls, taking place 30 years later. Lilith has returned, and as a Nephalem, you must prevent further destruction.
This is a big one. The gaming world has been waiting for Xbox to announce when Activision Blizzard games would be coming to Game Pass ever since its monster acquisition of the studio was finalized in 2023. Turns out Diablo 4 is how it begins. No, it might not be Call of Duty or the Guitar Hero revival everyone seems to think is definitely going to happen, but it’s still a pretty big deal. Diablo 4 won’t even be a year old when it arrives on Game Pass on March 28, and it’s almost guaranteed to bring in a new wave of players and give the game a new lease on life, probably just as those who have stuck with it were starting to drop off.

Any game that brings an iconic toy to life is something I’m going to be very into, and I know I’m not the only one. Hot Wheels has been doing that for years, and Unleashed 2 is the ultimate take on exactly that. 130 of the toy cars you remember playing with as a kid brought to life so you can race them around environments that look just like the ones you raced them around when you were a kid. Plus you can make your own, recreating tracks from your childhood if you’re willing to put the time in.
Open Roads: March 28 On Consoles, PC, And Cloud

Mother and daughter Opal and Tess embark on a road trip together, a chance for them to improve their imperfect relationship. Effectively an interactive movie from Annapurna, Open Roads players make the decisions to determine which direction this story goes.
A lot of day-one offerings on Game Pass this month, and Open Roads will be the one that closes out the month when it drops on Game Pass on March 28. Opal and Tess are a mother and daughter with a strained relationship, and Open Roads will follow them on a road trip they hope will fix that. Whether it does or not will ultimately be up to you as you will be the one calling the shots in Annapurna Interactive’s new cinematic adventure.
