This new Disney Lorcana Into The Inklands enchanted alt art card is of Jafar Striking Illusionist. While IGN has previewed this set and confirmed Jafar would be in this new set, this is an even rarer version of the snakelike sorcerer.
Overall, the Disney Lorcana Into The Inklands enchanted alt-art version of the card has some minor changes in its framing. Instead of Jafar being in the center, laughing maniacally with snakes coiled around him, he is standing confidently with his snakes in the distance.
In addition, while the original artwork by Nicola Saviori captures the look of the original Aladdin animated feature film, Ivan Shavrin’s artwork goes for a more impressionistic watercolor style. Otherwise, this is the same card, complete with its impressive Power Beyond Measure ability.
And given that Jafar Striking Illusionist is an Amethyst card, a type that’s all about drawing cards, this can be the potential lynchpin for victory with the right deck strategy.
Disney Lorcana Into The Inklands is the third set for the popular TCG. The set will contain more characters from beloved Disney properties like 101 Dalmatians, DuckTales, TaleSpin, and Treasure Planet.
The new set will include a new card type: Locations. Some Locations give bonuses when characters visit them, others provide bonuses just for being in play.
The release of Disney Lorcana Into The Inklands is one small part of Disney and Ravensburger’s ongoing support for the TCG. Their roadmap for 2024 includes a beginner-friendly Gateway set, as well as supporting competitive and organized play events.
