there's too much shadows on the pitch, they should make 'em way more transparent, otherwise it would get annoying.

If it took 3 years to bring the graphics up to this level, it will take 10 years to implement a new match engine with smooth animations. Changing the match engine is definitely the harder task.
Why are all player's the same height?
Though i don't really have an issue with women being added to the game as it won't be done like fifa where we are forced to play with them if we don't want to. I think the only problem is it will likely take away resources in the development for something that's not realistically going to be used by a lot of players at all. So the resource distribution to payout isn't exactly balanced. But that's just my thoughts

I thought the same as you regarding the lack of women's football in the two little previews we have had. I think it's likely there will be a full preview dedicated to women's football.
You'd hope so, even if only to see all the dopey sexists lose their minds again.
Graphics are bottom of the list for Football manager and yet its there biggest fanfare, this just shows its over for this game.

I really don't think the graphics look that much better. If you pause the video and look at the player models at any point they look like old school runescape characters. Most of them don't even have faces. The crowd is even worse. The animations still look super janky and clunky. It is maybe a 10-15% improvement over FM24, which is not great.
Do not play the game for graphics..

I think the future is the key thing here. They'd taken the previous engine as far as it could go. Here's to a new era of Football Manager; may it be as amazing as the last
I'm a pretty harsh critic. Look am I going to buy it and play the crap out of it? Yes. HOWEVER, was I expecting a little bit more/better out of it? Also Yes. The animations still look a little… FM24/23. Thought the players and the crowd would look better. I think the lighting is better than FM24. I'd give it just from this trailer alone 5/6 out of 10? Just didn't do it for me, thought it would be better. Still gonna play it though.

Really good and in depth analysis which was a breath of fresh air from all the other craziness on social media. Defo something to build on and the more I watch the FM26 video the more I like it. I just hope it isn't bug ridden (not sure about this one) and hopefully has given them time to fix a few other major issues with the game (again, not sure)
People just seem to be nitpicking about things like faces and such, it’s a massive step forward compared to FM24, and this is just the beginning
New to the channel… Thanks for the upload. I'm used to playing this type of game without the graphics so it's not a big thing for me but I'm all for improvements but just hope it does not take away from what's really important.. the depth of gameplay.
As for the women's game i'm sure that will be a separate trailer release so it doesn't get lost in with the mens game.
We have now seen more than we ever did of FM25, so that is a good sign! I think this video they focused on men's football because the initial trailer leaned on the Premier League license, so they are continuing to highlight top level men's teams. Interesting that you mention the regen faces. Assuming they are still doing women's football in FM26 I would expect most of the regen face work would have been on those rather than improving the current ones for men. I assume as you say that there will be a trailer coming in the next few weeks that will fully focus on the introduction of women's football.
I've felt so sorry for all the FM based creators for the past year or even longer, they've really struggled. I've watched the panic and fear set in hard. So the fact that i honestly believe this is only barely an upgrade for a 2025 game and its really just a fresh coat of paint with brighter colours over the exact same thing really doesn't matter. Yes, the truth is i can see with my own eyes that this is barely an upgrade, but i dont care. I miss this game and I want it back, and i want my favourite content creators to get their sanity back.
