This is a fair review. If they do a third Ghost game I’m in!! It’s so good.
Personally I just don't like the way the protagonist looks, it feels like they took a random NPC and dressed them up as the main character, whereas Jin feels like the sort of person who could actually embody that legendary warrior archetype
Gameplay wise its improved. Story-wise nowhere near Ghost of tsushima.

If you wanted an evolution and departure from the first game then I have no idea why you are even playing the 2nd game in the franchise. If you hated Ghosts 1 then play something else. Innovation is over-rated, as is change for change sake. The Ghosts games prove to gamers one thing very clearly. It’s about the execution of the game: the feeling of it and the sum of its parts for the final cohesive experience.
The camping thing seems to be pulled out of rdr2, this is such a disappointment and a complete shame on the previous game. The whole point of the ghost was that he went against the samurai code. How is this protag also a ghost?
I absolutely loved it, I think it got carried away with sequel syndrome but gosh I had the most wonderful time. 9/10
I got addicted to Ghost of Tsushima and it wasn’t necessarily because of Jin’s story. Because of that I really hope I’ll like Ghost of Yotei as much as I did the fist one. I just need more of the game play, more quests, more exploration and more of these amazing environments.
This game is ruined by forcing you to play as a woman. As an extremely masculine man, I find this completely immersion shattering, so unfortunately I won't be investing and I'm out.

More side missions. That's a bit daunting considering you literally can't go down the road without having to stop for some reason in ghost of tsushima

I didn’t know everyone the foxes I thought they were adorable and in these types of games moments that take you away from the peril and strife of the world to help you remember the peace you’re fight fighting for.

I was skeptical at first because jin is literally one of the best protagonist bad asses of all time. But they did really really good with atsu and the story. I like to see it as a completely different game with the sameish gameplay mechanics rather than a sequal.

Games mid but holy fucking shit the gambling mini game has to be the worst game I’ve ever played in my life I’ve tried everything it’s just the most inconsistent dogshit I’ve ever played I tap it for one second the coin flies across the table into the next city, next turn I tap it for literally 1 second again it doesn’t even move 2cm like bro what the fuck am I doing wrong
The game is amazing, the only problem is you have Fk all to do when you beat it. Yes there are bounties to do (which eventually run out) and if you’re lucky you’ll stumble across a random side quest that has a bit of combat, but for the most part ghost of yotei after beating the story consists of roaming around the map hoping you find 4 guys to fight. Im past getting mad over video games but it’s genuinely frustrating how empty the map is, there’s literally no one to fight. I saw a guy on Reddit say he went 30 minutes without one single encounter and while luckily I haven’t had a drought that long, I believe him 100 percent cause I’ve had some long stretches, definitely over 10 minutes without finding a single enemy. As long as there’s no ng+ once you beat the story, better get used to the sound of your horse running cause you’re gonna hear it a lot.
As much as I love the first Ghost, I just keep looking at the £70 part of this….
I DO want more ghost of tsushima, I just wanted to hear they didn't ruin it somehow. Im in!, I'll have to wait for the pc version tho.
Idk if it’s just me but this game looks like cheeks ghost of yotei is definitely a downgrade and I’m a sucker punch fan infamous second son for coming out in 2013 peak game and same with Tsushima amazing game for the time but this one feels super rushed and you can see it not as fluent gameplay and the story is just not as interesting as the first one
Got the platinum after 69 hours and it’s a masterpiece!!
I think the story for at least the first two boss apart from the opening boss fight where better stories than the ending fights

I do believe if it ain't broke, don't fix it. They just added on to what was already great and I'm here for it. I miss Jin, but Atsu is awesome too

22 hours in, mostly focusing on side missions, and I love this game. It's so rare for me to find a game that pulls me into the world so hard, that I almost forget to play the story missions. The side missions, in my opinion, are so varied and the smaller stories told in them are so well written that they don't really feel stale. Maybe that will change as I get further into the game but I doubt it. More of the last game but bigger and with more weapon types available is exactly what I needed. This is the first new game that's captured me like this since God of War Valhalla (or if you don't count that as a full game then Spider-man 2).

Assasin creed type games do not click for me at all. The camps, the hiding mechanics, repetetive enemies etc feels like copy and paste and get repetetive so fast. Make me want to bang my head on a wall.
Hopefully this game will be more a historical game, the first one was pure historical fanfiction
