During the event, all Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles, and Power Spots will refresh more frequently. If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny Snorlax capable of Gigantamaxing.

Additional exploring bonuses
The following bonuses will be active on Sunday December 14, 2025, from 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. For these bonuses to apply, Trainers must first collect all Max Particles available in the Nearby menu.

Trainers can collect Max Particles via the Nearby menu each day by exploring. Adventure Sync can help make sure your distance counts! Keep an eye on the Nearby menu for the icon that shows when Max Particles are ready to collect.
*For these bonuses to apply, Trainers must first collect all Max Particles available in the Nearby menu.

Timed Research
There will be Timed Research available leading into the event from December 8th at 6:00am local time. Complete the Timed Research to encounter a Dynamax Pokémon that will help you in your battles against Gigantamax Snorlax.
These tasks will also award Candy and Max Particles to help power up your team.
Event Ticket
For US$4.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll be able to access event-exclusive Timed Research. Timed Research rewards include the following.
- 1 Max Mushroom
- 25,000 XP
You’ll also receive the following bonuses.
- 2× XP from Max Battles
- Max Particle collection limit increased to 5,600
This Timed Research will be effective on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.

Gigantamax Snorlax Max Battle Day Ultra Ticket Box
The Gigantamax Snorlax Max Battle Day Ultra Ticket Box will be available for US$4.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency) and includes an event ticket and a bonus Premium Battle Pass at no additional cost.
Max Mushrooms
The Max Mushroom is an item that temporarily amplifies the Fast Attacks, Charged Attacks, and Max Move attacks of your Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon in Max Battles. While active in a Max Battle, your attacks will do double damage until the item timer runs out. Using multiple Max Mushrooms consecutively will lengthen the duration of the effect, but it will not increase the damage multiplier.
Remember to check your Item Bag while in a Max Battle lobby and use any Max Mushrooms you’ve acquired. You can also see whether other Trainers in the lobby have Max Mushrooms active.
Campfire
Campfire makes it easier than ever to find both Max Battles and other Trainers to help you take them on. View nearby Max Battle and Flare activity within Pokémon GO by tapping the green icon under the compass in the top right of the map view, and check out meetups online on the Campfire Map!
