GO Pass: Mega Finale is a limited-time progression track available from Monday, August 31 to Sunday, September 6, 2026, spanning both Mega Ascension and Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Mega Finale.
Trainers will begin by choosing Chespin, Fennekin, or Froakie through branching Timed Research. That choice determines which GO Pass path you receive and which Kalos first partner Pokémon you will focus on throughout the event.
By completing tasks and earning GO Points, Trainers can rank up to unlock encounters, Candy, Mega Energy, Special Backgrounds, and other rewards, while GO Pass Deluxe: Mega Finale adds extra bonuses, Shiny boosts, avatar items, and additional Mega Energy.

What is GO Pass: Mega Finale?
GO Pass: Mega Finale is a free, limited-time progression track available from Monday, August 31 to Sunday, September 6, 2026.
Trainers can complete tasks, including winning Mega Raids, to earn GO Points. Earning GO Points increases your rank on the GO Pass and unlocks rewards as you progress.
The GO Pass begins during the Mega Ascension event and continues through Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Mega Finale, tying the entire week of Mega Evolution-themed gameplay together.
Choose Chespin, Fennekin, or Froakie
Before beginning GO Pass: Mega Finale, Trainers will complete branching Timed Research and choose one of the three Kalos first partner Pokémon: Chespin, Fennekin, or Froakie.
Your choice determines which GO Pass path you receive, as well as the Pokémon-specific rewards you will earn throughout the event.
The free GO Pass includes enough Mega Energy to Mega Evolve your chosen Pokémon once. Trainers who upgrade to GO Pass Deluxe: Mega Finale can earn additional Mega Energy and further rewards tied to their chosen Pokémon.

GO Pass Deluxe: Mega Finale
Trainers can upgrade to GO Pass Deluxe: Mega Finale to unlock an additional reward track alongside the free GO Pass.
GO Pass Deluxe includes the free rewards, plus additional bonuses and rewards such as:

Major Milestone Rewards
Reaching certain ranks on GO Pass: Mega Finale will unlock Major Milestone Rewards. Trainers who upgrade to GO Pass Deluxe: Mega Finale will receive rewards from both the free and Deluxe tracks.
