Name a more iconic duo than Grand Theft Auto fans and using just about anything they can find to string together a theory about GTA 6. Over the last few years, we’ve seen some absolute bonkers ones. Many have tried to use celestial bodies to predict release dates and trailer dates; others have tried to use clothing items to predict similar dates, and some have even suggested a tiny rat is a piece of foreshadowing.
While we’re slowly being drip-fed information about the game as GTA 6’s marketing ramps up, players have noticed that map details have been conspicuously absent thus far. Desperation has once again reached a fever pitch, to the point where players are turning detective to figure out everything they can about the GTA 6’s setting, Leonida.
We previously saw it when one fan counted 14,000 trees in a single screenshot to work out the foliage density compared to Red Dead Redemption 2, and now somebody has turned to a GTA Online painting, which they believe is a hint towards 6’s map.
A New GTA 6 Painting Is Believed By Some To Outline Leonida’s Map
GTA Online just released the Kortz Center Heist. It’s a huge new mission that offers players the opportunity to raid an art gallery, loaded with valuable artifacts, including paintings. It’s one of these paintings that fans believe could give us a good look at Grand Theft Auto 6’s map.
Posted on Reddit by Individual_Type8874 is The Final Vice painting from the new Kortz Center Heist. This painting somehow lines up almost perfectly with depictions of Leonida that fans have pieced together.
The landscape in the middle of the painting looks to match Leonida’s landmass, while the foliage, which is conveniently painted blue, appears to depict the water surrounding the Vice City location. This includes the Leonida Keys and Port Gellhorn. A Third tree is interpreted as being Leonida’s lake.
While there’s definitely a degree of skepticism in the comments, and rightly so given how few theories have actually been correct thus far, this one seems strangely plausible.
