Marvel Games announced on X the launch of Guardians of the Galaxy: Encore Edition for the Nintendo Switch 2, set for November 5, 2026. The studio also released a 17-second announcement trailer, featuring the characters and what players can expect from the game. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Encore Edition is currently available for pre-order on the official Nintendo site. What’s included in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Encore Edition?
The game’s Encore Edition for the Nintendo Switch 2 includes several new features. These include the base game and five exclusive outfits for Star-Lord, Drax, Gamora, Rocket, and Groot. The 1980s glam rock era inspires these outfits.
Additionally, the game supports mouse control, allowing players to use the built-in mouse on the Switch 2 console. Gyroscope controls let the gamers pilot the Milano and control Peter during sliding and zero-gravity sequences. Players can also play the game in TV, Tabletop, or Handheld mode.
The official description highlights a cosmic adventure in which players take control of Star-Lord and lead the Guardians across the galaxy. It reads, “Fire up a wild ride across the cosmos with a fresh take on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. In this action-adventure game, you are Star-Lord, leading the unpredictable Guardians from one explosion of chaos to the next. You got this. Probably.”
Gamers must guide the unlikely team of outlaws as they work to become legendary heroes in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Encore Edition.
