How long will Rocksteady support Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League?

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leagues’ mixed response has people who love the game, myself included, eager to know how long Rocksteady Studios will support it. Let’s jump into the conversation — how long will Rocksteady Studios keep Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League alive?

Will Rocksteady continue support for Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League?

Rocksteady Studios hasn’t come out with anything official stating how long it will support Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. While it would be nice to get that, let’s assume an announcement isn’t coming.

What we do know so far is they have revealed a 2024 roadmap that features four Seasons. Barring Rocksteady Studios pulling the plug on the entire project because it’s not profitable, which I’m semi-hopeful won’t happen, we know Rocksteady Studios has content planned which means continued support for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League for the entirety of 2024.

We also know there are 12 Brainiacs left and each Season sees us defeating two. Let’s do the math. It’s confirmed each Season lasts for three months with two Episodes coming every six weeks. Season 1 starts in March.

If we fight two Brainiacs a Season and each Season lasts for three months, that means, if support stays strong, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League could last until July 2025. This would be the best outcome: we get six Seasons, fight all 12 Brainiacs which completes that story, and end continued content in July 2025 but still get to enjoy the entirety of the game because offline mode will be integrated by then.

If, by some miracle, Rocksteady Studios continues to make Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League profitable as more people try it out and the people who like it stay, then we could potentially see more content even after July 2025.

Will Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League survive?

This projection is me being optimistic. Since Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a live service game that survives if it continues to be profitable, Rocksteady Studios could run the numbers, decide it’s not worth continued support, and shut it down.

My hope is that if they reach that conclusion, they do it after they’ve integrated the offline mode so players at least get to keep what exists in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. They would be considered even more of a dead studio if they plunged the game into unplayable darkness.

As a lover of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, I really hope it survives. I hope the game stays profitable so Rocksteady Studios can give us even more exciting content, especially because what is to come looks genuinely fun. All we can do for now is keep grinding for Master weapons.
