How To Complete The Ancient Fort Battery Puzzle In Arc Raiders

If you’re looking to increase the quality of your gear during a raid in Arc Raiders, then you will want to eventually make your way to The Blue Gate map. The toughest map currently available, this endgame-style map offers not only a plethora of challenging ARC foes and terrain, but several small puzzles that reward you upon completion.

One of these is located at the Ancient Fort and requires the player to find three hidden batteries to power up a locked cellar door. While this sounds simple on paper, finding the batteries can be a bit of a headache if you don’t know where to look. Here’s what you need to know so you can quickly complete this puzzle and snag some solid loot!

Where To Find The Ancient Fort Puzzle

You can locate the Ancient Fort puzzle at, duh, the Ancient Fort point of interest on The Blue Gate. In the southeastern part of the map, players will need to make their way all the way down here and find a large stone structure. On the eastern side of the fort, you will find a cellar door that is currently locked and has three cables leaving it. This is where all the loot is locked, so make sure to keep this spot in mind when you’re running around.

Thankfully, Ancient Fort is fairly out of the way, so there’s a decent chance you might not run across a lot of ARC enemies outside of Wasps, Hornets, and Snitches. Additionally, the town just northwest of the fort will either spawn a Leaper or a Bombadeer, so try to keep your distance from them!

How To Complete The Ancient Fort Puzzle

To unlock the cellar, you will need to locate three batteries and carry them to the three different electrical boxes. These batteries are roughly the size of the Field Crates you’ve almost certainly encountered already, and cannot be stored in your inventory. Carrying a battery will drastically slow your movement, stow your weapons, and drain your stamina quickly if you try to run with it.

You will need to bring three different batteries to each of the electrical boxes. These are located:

• Directly along the southernmost wall of the fort.
• On the second floor of the tower inside the fort.
• On the second floor of the fort on the northern side.

The positions of these electrical boxes never change, and you can tell when you’re approaching one because it will glow bright blue if you’re near it with a battery. They will also be opened at an angle, making them pretty easy to spot.

All Ancient Fort Battery Locations

When it comes to actually finding the batteries, they will be located both in and around the fort. The main way to tell where a battery could spawn is that there will be a very obvious wooden pallet on the ground that the battery will spawn on top of. Now, the pallets will remain there regardless of whether a battery spawned there or not, but it’s a good visual tell to look for when you’re searching for them.

In my testing, I have discovered twelve potential spawn locations for the batteries. There may be more, but I’ve yet to encounter this puzzle where I couldn’t find all the batteries at the designated locations. Remember, only three batteries will spawn, so be vigilant about checking every single location.

Battery 1		This battery is located along the southwestern road that wraps around the fort.
Battery 2		This battery can be found along the northern road that leads down into the town.
Battery 3		You can find this battery inside the ruined house to the northwest of the fort, just before you go into town.
Battery 4		This battery is located in the northern, ruined house between Ancient Fort and Broken Earth.
Battery 5		This battery is inside the ruins of the house that’s southeast of the fort by the zipline. It will be on top of the generator.
Battery 6		You can find this battery inside the fort, inside the room with all the breachable containers along the southern wall.
Battery 7		This battery is in the ruined house directly north of the fort before you go down into the town below.
Battery 8		You can find this battery southwest of the fort inside the destroyed house.
Battery 9		This battery is east of the fort inside the ruined house with all the satellite dishes around it.
Battery 10		The battery can also spawn at the very top of the tower in the fort.
Battery 11		Another possible spawn is behind the rusted, white car that is southwest of the fort.
Battery 12		The final possible spawn is directly west of the fort inside the ruined building.

Once you gain access to the cellar, just go down the ladder into the basement and enjoy your loot. Along with a weapon case, you will find several electrical and medical-themed items. Advanced Electrical Components will also spawn on top of the computers, so make sure to check those before leaving! Remember, the basement only has one entrance, so make sure no Raiders are waiting for you to corner yourself before you begin looting.
