If you’re looking for Entropy in Hades 2, then it means you’re finally approaching what is considered the technical end of the story. This also means that by this point, you should have completed several runs of both the Olympus and Underworld routes and unlocked the Dissolution of Time incantation.
When you unlock this incantation and Disintegration of Monstrosity, both will have a mystery ingredient needed to cast them. The mystery ingredients are not the same item, and you’ll need to complete Disintegration of Monstrosity before you can complete Dissolution of Time.
How To Cast Disintegration Of Monstrosity And Unlock Entropy
As you might have guessed based on the information above, the mystery item needed for Dissolution of Time, Entropy, can only be acquired after casting Disintegration of Monstrosity. During each run where you’ve attempted to defeat Typhon, he’s never truly been knocked down, and there’s a good reason for that.
To get rid of him once and for all, you’ll need to cast Disintegration of Monstrosity and then fight Typhon one final time. To cast Disintegration of Monstrosity, you’ll need the following items:
|

Item Needed |
How To Obtain |
|---|---|---|
|
|
4x V-lens |
V-lens is collected each time you defeat Typhon. Therefore, you’ll need to defeat him four times to obtain four V-lens. |
|
|
1x Z-sand |
Z-sand is collected each time you defeat Chronos. While you only need one for this incantation, you’ll need five for Dissolution of Time. So you must defeat Chronos at least six times to have enough for both. |
|
|
1x Mystery Item (Gigaros) |
The mystery item needed for this incantation turns out to be Hades’ spear, Gigaros. After defeating Chronos enough times and speaking with Zagreus each time, Zagreus will eventually present you with a plan to defeat Typhon. He shares that he will leave Hades’ spear in his room for you to collect the next time you’re there. Complete one more run after this to find it waiting for you next to the bed after your sixth battle with Chronos. |
Once you have everything you need to cast Disintegration of Monstrosity, cast it and then proceed to complete a surface run to Olympus one more time.
Obtaining Gigaros will reveal the mystery item for Dissolution of Time, which turns out to be 1x Entropy.
This time, when you reach Typhon, you will defeat him once and for all. Following this finalized defeat, Typhon will drop his essence, Entropy.
How To Cast Dissolution Of Time
Now that you have the Entropy, you should have everything you need to cast the Dissolution of Time incantation, since it would be virtually impossible for you not to have 5x Z-sand by this point.
Once you’ve cast Dissolution of Time, things work similarly to the way they did with Typhon. Complete one final run in the Underworld to fight Chronos for the last time. You’ll have a clear sign that you’re approaching the end of the game, as this final run will be a bit different from the ones before it.
After defeating Chronos with the Dissolution of Time in effect, you’ll be pulled through to the end of the story, where you’ll finally be met with the ending credits of Hades 2. However, this isn’t truly the end if you don’t want it to be. There is still plenty of post-game content waiting for you.
