The Pit Of Eternal Sands awaits you.

However, you are limited to how many you may have equipped at one time, starting the game with only three amulet holders. Hidden throughout Mount Qaf are nine more amulet holders that you can find to upgrade Sargon, allowing him access to more perks throughout the game.

It is recommended to look for all the Amulet Holders only after completing the campaign. Certain levels may require abilities you don’t have yet, halting your progress.

The Lower City

Amulet Holder #1

Sargon stands in front of The Mage in The Haven in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

The Lower City contains three amulet holders, the most of any region in Mount Qaf. The first will be incredibly easy to find, since you can purchase it outright from The Mage in The Haven for 240 time crystals.

Amulet Holder #2

The second amulet holder is similarly easy to obtain. Exit The Haven to the right and make your way to the rectangular-shaped room. Drop through the floor twice to find a chest containing an amulet holder.

Amulet Holder #3

Unfortunately, this amulet holder is more challenging than the other two in The Lower City; it requires you to complete the third part of the Prophecy of Mount Qaf side quest.

Underneath the room you found the second amulet in, you will discover a fresco that has been stripped of its art. You will be prompted to start the Prophecy of Mount Qaf quest, which has you searching the map for sand jars that will reveal the lost fresco and an ancient prophecy. For every five sand jars you bring back to this location, you will get a reward, and after the fifteenth sand jar, you will be given the amulet holder.

This is the only amulet holder that requires a grind. Keep an eye out for sand jars as you progress in the story so you don’t have to backtrack as much later in your playthrough.

Sacred Archives

Amulet Holder #4

The first amulet holder in the Sacred Archives is gated behind a platforming challenge. Use your arrows to create platforms for yourself (or just activate Clairvoyance if you’ve unlocked it already) and navigate over the spikes. You’ll find the holder in a chest at the end of the obstacle course.

Amulet Holder #5

This amulet holder is locked behind a trap puzzle. You will come across a set of traps, stacked three by three in a square box pattern. In order to solve the puzzle, you need to activate the traps in a particular order. The correct solution is activating the top right trap, then the middle right, center, and middle left, before finally hitting the bottom center trap.

In practice, this is much less complicated than it sounds. Before doing anything else, form a shadow right underneath the bottom center trap. Then, ascend the platforms to the right of the traps, and jump across the top right trap. As soon as you have fallen from the top right to the middle right trap, air dash through the rest of the traps in the center row, activating them all.

Before gravity will let you touch the bottom left trap, warp to your shadow and jump directly up to activate the final piece of the puzzle. Completing the challenge will spawn a chest containing an amulet holder.

Sunken Harbor

Amulet Holder #6

The Sunken Harbor throws you a bone on your quest to find every amulet holder. This collectible is sitting in a chest unguarded by enemies and requiring no challenges to unlock its contents. Fast travel to the nearest available Soma statue and pick it up worry-free.

Soma Tree

Amulet Holder #7

The Soma Tree level presents you with another platforming challenge, this one making mandatory use of Clairvoyance. Shifting different walls in and out of reality, you’ll jump between them and activate plant platforms to get to another chest with an amulet holder.

Pit Of Eternal Sands

Amulet Holder #8

The Pit of Eternal Sands requires you to make use of the game’s double jump, dubbed the Gravity Wings. Navigating to the rightmost portion of the Sands, you’ll pass a Wak-Wak tree and be met by a sheer wall. Making use of your extra mobility, you can double jump and air dash up the cliff, and when you reach the top, you’ll discover a path leading to the right, ending with a chest and amulet holder.

The Upper City

Amulet Holder #9

The last amulet holder is the biggest gimme of them all; it’s in a chest right next to a Soma statue in the Upper City. It will be almost impossible to miss during the natural course of the campaign.

When you have found all nine unlockable amulet holders, you will have a total of 12 slots to play with, allowing Sargon to harness a frankly ridiculous combination of powers. You’ll also unlock the Glory of Faravahar trophy or achievement, given when Sargon has fully upgraded his necklace.
