How to obtain Burning Horns in Final Fantasy XIV?
Timeworn Ophiotauroskin Map Location
The first requirement to obtain Burning Horns is get yourself a Timeworn Ophiotauroskin Map. To get these maps, you need to complete the “Treasures and Tribulations” quest and dig them in level 90 gathering nodes Elpis, which has a cooldown rate of 18 hours per map-gather.
Decipher the Timeworn Ophiotauroskin Map
The next step is to decipher the Timeworn Ophiotauroskin Map, which leads to a specific portion of Elpis having an X mark. Go to the mark, dig near it, and you’ll find a chest. Enemies will spawn to protect the chest, and upon clearing them, you’ll be able to open it.
Chest Portal Spawn
The difficulty is having a portal spawn off the chest upon opening it, which is by pure luck. If the portal spawns, entering it will transport you into the Shifting Gymnasium Agnon. As if getting the portal is not hard enough, but guess what? The Burning Horn drop in the Shifting Gymnasium Agnon is RNG-based as well.
A faster but costlier method
You can also opt to buy Timeworn Ophiotauroskin Maps from the Market Board. The map is very pricey as of now but it saves you almost half of the time from the RNG. The good thing is that you only need three Burning Horns.
Upon obtaining three Burning Horns, you can exchange them for the Phaethon Mount. You have to head to the Nesvaaz in Rads-at-Han to get the mount.
