How to Participate in Fortnite Tournaments

Before participating in a Fortnite tournament, the following conditions need to be met:

  • Verify the email address tied to your Fortnite account.
  • Enable two-factor authentication.
  • Set the game’s aspect ratio to 16:9 (This requirement does not apply to consoles).
  • Children between 13 and 17 years of age should have permission from their parents or legal guardians.
  • Your Fortnite account should be level 15.

If and when all conditions are met, here is how to participate in a Fortnite tournament:

  1. Access the main menu and select the “Compete” tab. Players will find details regarding previous, current, and upcoming tournaments here.
  2. Find a tournament to compete in and head to the “Play” tab and “Mode Selection.”
  3. Choose the tournament under the “By Epic” list.
  4. Play the match to earn points. The higher your score, the greater the rewards.

The rules for Fortnite tournaments are the same as those for Arena and Competitive modes. The matches consist of a standard battle royale with 100 players, but respawns and Overshields are disabled. Also, depending on the selected mode, it will determine whether building is allowed or not.

Fix for Missing Compete Tab

Since players have been spending considerable time playing LEGO Fortnite, they might be having an issue involving a missing Compete tab. Fortunately, this problem has an easy fix. Players must switch to Battle Royal, Battle Royale Ranked, or Zero Build, eventually resulting in the Compete tab reappearing between Career and Quests.

Players now know everything there is to know about joining a Fortnite tournament, and if they cannot do so, they need to make sure they are meeting the prerequisites beforehand.
