The Range Finder is a new attachment added to Battlefield 6 for sniper rifles. It allows you to zero the range of your sniper on specific distances, which means you can account for bullet drop without having to manually aim your sniper.
It’s easy to use by holding ‘B’ on your keyboard when the range finder is attached to a sniper rifle. In the bottom right of the screen, you will see the distance at which the gun is zeroed in on. You can change this on the fly before you take shots to hopefully improve your accuracy.
How To Use The Range Finder In Battlefield 6
The Range Finder is available as an attachment for these weapons.
Sniper Rifles
DMRs
The Range Finder costs 15 points and must be attached as a left attachment.
Once you’ve unlocked the Range Finder by completing the mastery for a weapon, you can attach it via the gun customization menu. When you’ve attached it, you’ll be able to use it in-game by using ‘B’ on keyboard or down on the directional pad for controllers.
You must temporarily hold the button to effectively use the Range Finder. It’s basically instantaneous, however, and has no cooldown. Once you’ve zeroed your weapon, you can aim in the center of the crosshair and the gun will automatically account for bullet drop.
To make life easier, you can change the keybind of B to one of your mouse buttons (if available) to save you from having to reach for your B key every time you want to zero your gun. This is possible on a controller, too, if you have back paddles.
