That blue cube looks a lot like the beacon. But you don't just find a beacon in a random cave. You have to go to the Nether, go to the fortress to kill enough wither skeletons for three heads, you have to then collect four soul sand blocks, then build the Wither, then kill the Wither to get a nether star, then gather glass and obsidian to finally craft the beacon. I didn't see Jack Black doing any of this in the trailer. The group of noobs coming through the portal didn't do any of that either. They just got started with punching trees and then looked lost at what to do next.
