The game developers should understand you got more male audience than female. Why recently big games are having female lead characters instead of male. Atleast make us choose the character. Silent hill f, jurassic survival and no wonder if other games also have female lead character

if you could create your own character in the game, it would be much better. I don't want to play as a nerd girl, if Regina from Dino Crisis or Lara Croft were in her place, I would think twice. If the developers are trying to immerse us in the atmosphere, give us the opportunity to create a character.
