Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Releasing This Year According to Leaked Trailer

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is Warhorse Studios’ new game, and it’s launching later this year, according to a leaked trailer ahead of a reveal scheduled for later today.

The trailer seemingly appeared on IGN’s website (thanks, VGC) and appears to confirm the return of the original game’s protagonist Henry, as well as a 2024 release window.

Said trailer also confirms the platforms on which Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will appear, and unsurprisingly, it seems to be scheduled to arrive on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

The original Kingdom Come: Deliverance has proven pretty successful.

There’s no mention of the Nintendo Switch, which got a port of the original earlier this year, but given that the Switch often struggles to keep up with current-gen games performance-wise, that’s not a surprise.

The leaked trailer doesn’t give much about the game away, which, again, isn’t shocking given that it takes the form of an ad. We’ll likely learn more about Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 when the official announcement airs later today.

If you’re not familiar with Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and you’re wondering what all the fuss is about regarding a sequel, bear in mind that the first game recently passed six million sales, which isn’t bad going at all for what is effectively an indie RPG.

A sequel to the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance was an inevitability.

The first game is a medieval RPG that emphasises realism over fantasy shenanigans; you’re not going to be slinging any spells or fighting any dragons here.

Instead, Kingdom Come: Deliverance tells the story of Henry, a young blacksmith’s son who must avenge the death of his parents after a bloody civil war claims their lives.

The game features a huge open world to explore, plenty of quests to complete in whatever fashion you like, and different ways to build your character, as well as the ability to forge your own equipment.

You can grab Kingdom Come: Deliverance right now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and it’s playable on current-gen consoles via backwards compatibility as well. Stay tuned for more info about the sequel.
