Lego has been killing it when it comes to collaboration sets lately, offering crossovers for a growing number of iconic video games, anime, real-world locations, and more. Although these sets can come with some often hefty price tags, they’ve still been getting plenty of praise from veteran Lego fans and new builders alike for their creativity.
Just when we thought we’d seen it all with several surprising sets that even include some new Sanrio additions, Lego has just revealed its upcoming Daft Punk-themed collaboration that is adapting one of the musical duo’s first and most iconic tours since Daft Punk’s inception in 1993.
Daft Punk Is Getting Its Own Lego Set
Although the crossover was initially teased by Daft Punk yesterday after their official livestream featuring a glowing red Lego brick, DiscussingFilm on X shared a new promotional video for the upcoming set, which originally started as a fan-made Lego Ideas set shared all the way back in 2024.
Rather than being a standard buildable helmet stand that some fans were fearing after the initial teaser, the set instead is going to be a re-creation of the stage from Daft Punk’s 2007 Still Alive tour. The trailer itself also notably features music from the duo’s iconic Voyager and Human After All tracks, which helped lead to their eventual Still Alive show.
Exactly What A Band-Themed Lego Set Should Be
Although final sets can have some significant differences from their initial submission on Lego Ideas, fans can still see a general concept of what the final set will look like when it releases.
It isn’t just a set release that Daft Punk can expect next year either, as Lego themselves have shared that the collaboration will extend to the entire brand itself, with numerous events, music, and creative events as a part of the partnership for fans to look forward to.
While it’s far from the first time Lego has collaborated with musicians before, having previously made sets for The Beatles, BTS, The Rolling Stones, and even Pharrell Williams, this is the first time Lego has recreated a full stage for an artist, pushing what to expect from more ambitious collaborations in the future.
