Logitech, a world-renowned manufacturer of computer peripherals and sundry software, has been around for over four decades. If today’s bevy of new product announcements is anything to go by, the Swiss-based group has no plans of leaving the scene any time soon.
The company revealed a rather exciting lineup at Logitech G Play 2025, and it’s safe to say this is one of their biggest ever unveilings. From pedals and headsets to a brand-new G HUB update and what the team is touting as the “industry’s first AI Streaming Agent” – not to mention more of the great mouses and keyboards that so many of us have wielded for so many years – G Play 2025 was a bit of a banger.
Streamlabs and SUPERSTRIKE And McLaren Racing, Oh My
Time and again, Logitech has impressed us. Why, as recently as this past June, TheGamer’s own Allyson Cochran raved about the Logitech G522 Wireless Headset. This latest batch of goodies is worth taking a look at, so we’ll start from the top with everything a racing fan will ever need in order to feel like they’re right there on the track.
Vroom Time
Arguably the splashiest race-related announcement was a collaboration with McLaren Racing.
- The Logitech G A50 X McLaren Racing Edition Wireless Headset comes equipped with a 48 kHz “broadcast-quality mic” and PLAYSYNC system switching;
- The Logitech G RS Formula Wheel: McLaren Racing Edition is as sleek as anything that legendary motor team has ever delivered;
- And then there’s the Logitech G RS50 Base, a direct-drive motor with a max of 8Nm torque. TRUEFORCE tech serves as the Base’s proverbial backbone, providing an unparalleled degree of precision.
- Along similar lines, the Logitech G RS Pedals sport a 75kg load cell brake and a fully-adjustable design. They’ve got ample G HUB tuning, and the company touts them as the right-proper compliment to the G RS Formula Wheel.
- Last but not least, the Playseat Formula Instinct: Logitech G McLaren Racing Edition is a chair designed like a cockpit so that hardcore enthusiasts can feel like they’re right there on the Formula 1 racetrack. This one’s got genuine input from McLaren Racing’s own engineers and esports drivers.
High-End Inputs
Logitech is, to some of us, first and foremost a fine purveyor of keyboards and mouses. Which isn’t to say they haven’t fared terrifically well in umpteen other sectors, but nonetheless, their inputs are everywhere, and for good reason. Here’s what G PLAY 2025 has brought to the table.
- The Logitech G515 RAPID TKL has been hailed as their “most advanced low-profile keyboard” ever. A 22mm thinness certainly helps to back that statement up. It’s got magnetic analog switches, rapid-trigger function, and KEYCONTROL proprietary tech that can be customized all the way down to 0.1mm. Stainless steel top playing comples the look.
- Logitech’s PRO Series is getting a pair of bold new mouses with the G PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE and G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2c. The former includes – get this – a haptic inductive trigger system which eschews traditional switches in favour of an inductive analog sense with real-time haptics. Logitech’s calling it their fastest and most comfortable click.
- As for the latter, the G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2c carries on the legacy of the SUPERLIGHT 2 with a smaller form factor, revamped thumb buttons, and an even lower weight profile.
3-2-1 Sound
Moving on to the realm of headsets, Logitech’s ample array of audio continues with a couple of big reveals.
- First up is the Logitech G31 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset. It looks pretty comfortable, and the company claims it will arrive with a neatly affordable price. Ultra-low latency and audio drivers can be expected, but the big wins here are the memory foam headband, and breathable ear cups.
- The Logitech G A20 X Wireless Gaming Headset retains a lightweight and comfy design ethos, but it’s a higher-end device with PLAYSYNC AUDIO integration and an easy way of swapping between gaming consoles and mobile devices with one quick press. A 48 kHZ microphone, LIGHTSYNC, Bluetooth availability, and customizable profiles complete the look.
The Software Side
Last up is a pair of solid plays in Logitech’s software catalog.
- G HUB sees the introduction of the Games feature, which will offer stronger cross-platform accessibility, including support for Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and more, as well as several presets. Other G HUB updates are also en route.
- Streamers might be excited to learn that Streamlabs’ industry-first AI Streaming Agent has launched for designers and developers by way of the Streamlabs App Store as well as the Overlay Library. Logitech describes the AI Streaming Agent as providing “scene switching, gameplay commentary, and automated highlight clipping.” It’s all presented by a “lifelike virtual avatar that can serve as co-host and producer.”
All the hardware that Logitech has presented during G PLAY 2025 can be preordered here. Retailers will begin their own rollouts today, and there’ll be further product arrivals at the various storefronts over the course of the next several months. I’ve got my eyes on that G PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE mouse, at minimum.
