1904 setting really killed this game it could have been better if it was in 1980ish

whatever it was. it was hella boring and totally 0 fun to play, story was somewhat good. but thats it.

some mechanics felt kind of pointless like getting money to buy weapons only helped like once or twice or to buy the other cars when you only get like 1 time to choose a vehicle to use. I didn't use the necklace with charms besides what the game makes you do. The game was fun and good but one of the more annoying things that the game had was when you're doing the runaway you seemed to just get animation locked every two steps. the price was pretty fair it just seemed like some mechanics were pointless

Only Rockstar knows how to create a completely and truly open world with real NPCs that you can play for years, especially rdt2, where even after a few years you find something you've never seen before, they're on a completely different level!
they should have made it open world where you spend time making your crime empire better not to follow around a story that keeps you away from actually having fun from the game

Got this for my 18th I completed it just then after 13 days(I have a life outside of it) and I gotta say it is a great game, not amazing gameplay but it's serviceable, the characters are on a scale between pretty cool and amazing , the story is simple and pretty predictable (aside from the ending)
Also personally, I was on normal and that was perfectly fine for me, play it on whatever you want
The only bad stealth mission is Isabelas, and not cause she's bad

This game has ZERO innovation regarding mechanics, world interaction, NO depth, and IMO decent but only barely better graphics and animations over the other iterations.
Can't pick your own crew, can't make enemies or make friends, there is no enterprise, no good or bad decisions, no criminal enterprises, no strategy, no taking over territory, nothing. There is ZERO risk in the game. I've felt more pleasure/satisfaction after a simple drink of water.

Some things feel like, Hitman: Absolution.
It looks like they originally had much bigger plans than what eventually transpired. The game is far too short for all the potential content to make any sense, just look at the list of 'tutorials' and think what might have been. There's no point in collecting money from lockboxes or buying anything with money looted from corpses, you can just whizz through the game on what you're given. Pasquale's shop is completely pointless. The biggest trick they missed, however, was killing Enzo. He should have made it to New York for the obvious sequel: Mafia: The New Country.
i believe this review is a little too harsh on this believe, specially on the story. For me story was quite engaging might be a cliched romantic love story but it was an incredible experience, kept me fully engaged and invested in the characters, after a very long time i was so invested and enjoyed the overall experience.
Can’t believe the system requirements for this game.

I thought the way enzo's arms shook like he was caught in a hurricane just because he was holding a gun was a poor choice. But now that I know it was lifted from a game so prestigious it took 10 years to come out of beta testing it all makes sense.
I love Mafia 1 ,2 & 3 of Definitive Edit. and also Mafia the Old Country its so nice to play and so beatiful ,i love the storyline and graphs. ❤❤

This actually sounds like. Straight story with a matching price and the game is solid. What more can you ask for? Not every game needs to be open world. It honestly would have likely ruined the game or brought it to that 70-80 dollar range with platinum or whatever being around $100. This is just perfect the way it is. Look forward to playing it.

I just finished the game a genuinely enjoyed it. Honestly enjoyed the story and the ending was not what i was thinking. Like he was saying nothing crazy and new but greatly told.

How oldie as it may sound there was just some magic in games 15-20 years ago which is somewhat missing in todays dev.
