One Minecraft fan has designed LEGO versions of the Happy Ghast and Ghastling after their reveal during Minecraft Live 2025. The recent presentation unveiled lots of content coming to Minecraft in 2025, but the Happy Ghast and Ghastling were likely the most adorable announcements.

During Minecraft Live 2025, Mojang revealed details about two game drops planned for this year. Among the highlights, a new block called the Dried Ghast was unveiled. This unique block allows players to put a twist on the often menacing Ghast from the Nether. By bringing the block back to the Overworld, players can rehydrate it to create a Ghastling. This mob features a much sunnier disposition than its Nether-dwelling relative and can grow into a Happy Ghast. Not only do they look cute, but the passive mobs can be ridden, giving players greater freedom to move around when building in Survival.

As the community anticipates the release of Minecraft game drops in the days ahead, a Reddit user known as Cowalla1 has created LEGO versions of the Happy Ghast and Ghastling. In a post on the game’s subreddit, the builder shared images of the mob in LEGO form, revealing the potential for an official set based on the mobs. As seen in the pictures, the player created similarly square-looking figures for the Happy Ghast and its smaller form. While Cowalla1 said the base of the Happy Ghast was a modified version of the Ghast design from Cheesey Studios, they came up with the harness and goggles and the design of the Ghastling.

When posting the LEGO designs on Reddit, the builder revealed the Ghastling was challenging to construct. The small size of the mob made replicating the details from the in-game version hard to get right. Since sharing their work on Reddit, the post has gained over 5.6K upvotes. Many fans complimented the designer on their building speed and the implementation of the goggles for the Happy Ghast, which were removable. Unsurprisingly, many users wanted to build these custom versions of the mobs. Fortunately, Cowalla1 revealed they made instructions for the designs and were waiting for them to be approved on Rebrickable.

These latest LEGO designs are examples of the excitement for future content updates in Minecraft. Even though players will have to wait until the second game drop of 2025 for the Happy Ghast and Ghastling to be officially added to the game. Mojang has said that players should be able to start checking out the mobs in testing soon.

Beyond the later additions of the Happy Ghast and Ghastling, the first game drop of their year will be released on March 25. It will bring a ton of new content to the game, including new variants for the chicken, pig, and cow. Players can also look forward to upgraded Minecraft visuals in the future.
