The A series of Pokémon TCG Pocket expansions has finally concluded, and now, it’s time for the B series, which starts grandly with the Mega Rising set! Similar to the Genetic Apex (A1) series, the Mega Evolution set will feature three packs headlined by Mega Gyarados, Mega Blaizken, and Mega Alataria.
Let’s get into all the ‘mega’ details.
An official trailer for Mega Rising has been released, revealing some cards from the new set! Megs Evolutions are the showstoppers of this booster pack, featuring on the artwork and as EX cards.
The Megs Rising set will be released on Thursday, October 30, 2025, and is the B1 set.

Here are the Pokémon cards revealed:

There are also a bunch of Trainer cards revealed:
- Flame Patch Item: Attach a Fire Energy from your discard pile to your Active Pokémon.
- Sitrus Berry Pokémon Tool: At the end of each turn, if the Pokémon this card is attached to has half of its maximum HP or less remaining, heal 30 damage from it. If you do, discard this card.
- May Supporter: Put 2 random Pokémon from your deck into your hand. For each Pokémon you put into your hand this way, choose a Pokémon to shuffle from your hand into your deck.
- Marlon Supporter: Heal 70 damage from one of your Carracosta or Jellicent.
- Lisia Supporter: Put 2 random Basic Pokémon with 50 HP or less from your deck into your hand.
Remember that Mega Evolutions function differently from other cards (including EX) in Pokémon TCG Pocket, and reflect the new rules set by the Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia sets in the physical TCG:
- Knocking out a Mega Evolution card rewards you with 3 points, granting you an instant win in TCG Pocket.
- Megas are Stage 1 and Stage 2 cards, and can be evolved directly from their respective Basic card or Stage 1 card.
To elaborate further on this:
- Mega Altaria can be directly evolved from Swablu.
- Mega Gyarados can be directly evolved from Magikarp.
- Mega Blaziken can be directly evolved from Combusken.
The Mega Rising expansion will usher in a new era of dominance in Pokémon TCG Pocket, creating a paradigm shift in the meta. Be it Ranked or Solo mode, battles are bound to be more foerce than ever.
