You have to have loved the way they said on ice iq and yet players are dumber than ever especially in defence where they dont bother trying to defend. But what you expect from EA the do this with all their sports games, honestly the courts should get involved by this point for false advertising.

(NHL 26 WISHLIST)Hockey is all about speed, quickness, and agility—so it's hard to understand why NHL 25 feels so sluggish. The pace of the game is frustratingly slow, and passing feels like it's coming from a 10-year-old. Almost every pass gets intercepted because they move at an unrealistically slow speed.
You introduced the Hockey IQ system, but I’m still constantly running into both my teammates and opponents. It might be more productive to focus on improving core gameplay features like AI behavior and server stability.
World of Chel is another major issue. Finding a 6v6 game can take over five minutes, and even then, most players back out the moment they see their teammates are lower level. There should be a system in place to warn or temporarily ban players who do this repeatedly. It ruins the experience for everyone. Also, the input delay in World of Chel is frustrating. Movement feels sluggish compared to Online Versus, which, while smoother, is ironically still too slow.
There’s also the matter of the window-breaking mechanic. A soft shot can break the glass, but somehow a 120 mph slapshot doesn’t? It doesn’t make sense, and it’s costing us real scoring opportunities when pucks just bounce off instead of going in or creating chaos.
The Full Pressure system also needs serious rebalancing. Three simple shots on net and suddenly it’s full pressure? Then the AI drops from NHL-caliber to playing like 17-year-olds in the WHL. Goalies start making odd desperation dives, and the entire defensive structure falls apart.
And finally, a small but noticeable detail: the goalies in Practice Mode. They seem way better than in real games, which is confusing. Plus, they freeze the puck constantly—even during warm-ups—making practice mode frustrating and time-wasting when it should be quick and efficient.
you forced us to upgrade the system, then gave us a terrible hockey game. a lot of money wasted to play hockey, fix the goalies.

No wonder the NHL backed out of GWC, the game play has a serious integrity issue. Too much interference by the development team with direct shots missing the net and straight passes missing their mark. Definitely a clown show of a game this year. Worst in a decade and it's not even on old gen. No more excuses EA.

Hey dudes I wanna create my own skill stick with a list of moves and defensive moves from actual players. As in just create a wrestler from the wwe wrestling games with all the wrestling moves known to man . Bring some actual players that know all the moves and defensive plays and let us pick from a list and create our authentic player. So we can bring our game to the game!
