I saw this thing on sale on Switch 2’s eshop and was intrigued but also suspicious.
Glad I took a moment to watch this candid assessment. Great work ‘cause I’m buying.

So what is this game basically? Does is have any story or it's Minecraft space themed? Is it life service?

Favatar

This was the first game I preordered. I was weary about ever preordering a game. But I saw a game I had to preorder for how cool the game was. That game was Cyberpunk…

No man's sky is already in the history of gaming.

Love this game, i really hope it gets a nice place in the history of gaming, really want this kind of games and studios to be the standard in gaming

1 mans lie, became one teams pie.
such an overpriced pie.
but jokes on them, I got it discounted. you know at the price it fairly should be priced at.

I bought this game back in 2017… i experienced all, the bugs saw the potential but i feel that back then they still didnt know what they were doing. i was always surprised to see the game pop up on steam and the that the price point remained high specially after almost a decade since its release. after watching the video i find myself buying this game for a second time… DIVING IN!

I mean, you could argue that supporting a game that's really bad on release but gets fixed eventually is a bad thing and would promote devs to release bad games. That would be the case if they release bad games and then charge people money for the fixes etc. The fact that Hello Games released a bad game but throughout the years has "fixed" it and gave a ton of updates for free without even trying to put in micro transactions is commendable and should be supported IMO. Especially if you consider that this was basically there first huge game, not many devs or companies that get it right the first time unless there's some massive funding behind it.

For me, the funny thing about No Man Sky videos, is that half a year later it's already outdated with how much new stuff and changes have occurred.

In an era of false idols and micro transactions where we all become cattle, Hello Games shows the whole industry the way that we all gamers want this industry to be, if it wants a future: no micro transactions, just pure gaming fun! All hail Hello Games! 🏆🫶👏👏👏👏

Crazy how this game map is a literal universe…. It would take billions of years to visit each planet

I never thought of this game until recently so I didn’t know the history behind it until now.
I just started playing it and it’s really fun.
Low expectations and fun exploration.

I will never buy No Man's Sky or Cyberpunk – fuck both of those studios. But I played No Man's Sky on Game Pass. Neither of these studios deserve credit for fixing their shit games. They wanted money for a shitty product that they lied about. That is reality. They are the ones who set the expectations for consumers. Cyberpunk has the audacity to then charge for a DLC, whereas no man's sky atleast went about this the right way – free updates. I will never support cyberpunk or pay one penny for that garbage.

if you wanna punish devs that release ititallynbroken games then bethesda would be demolished

I bought the game back in the day and loved it and it had everything i expected it to have and more!!! But I am a coder so when I learned of the small team and heard procedural world I already understood what they were saying. Its like when car people talk about how good some rusted P.O.S is and everyone is like what the hell are you talking about, only later to see really cool car that seems totally different. No Man Sky IS that P.O.S the average gamer of the day [even today have or] had zero to little understanding on why the 'features' and tech was focused on and why the rest of the "gameplay" was put off. No Man Sky devs KNEW what was the hard part and focused on that, knowing gameplay is old and simple [very very few games have new gameplay loops they have all been done before] and can be added later with ease. And it was and is STILL being done.
I will admit i think launching with no support for interaction of ANY kind between players was pretty bad lol

To me the answer is simple and yet seems to offend many gamers. Wait for reviews. Wait for Twitch streamers to play. Never buy a game you haven't looked into unless you're cool with rolling the dice.

And in the case of a game like this, wait till the level the game is fixed up to works for you for whatever they're currently charging. It's that simple. If they need to launch buggy and finish up later, fine but you don't get my money till it's fixed up. There are plenty of other games to play. My Steam backlog is enormous

I've never played this game, I've played games my whole life, insane amount of hours and all genres. Will start playing tomorrow!

Listening to this while i work on a custom corvette for the Corvettes and Coffee meet. 10 months after this video and it just keeps getting better.

The game is beautiful now. It's still evolving to push modern hardware and that's admirable.

Still boring, repetitive crap for kids.

I've had faith in Hello's vision since before it came out. I remember seeing an interview with a studio rep. The excitement that he showed while he was talking, told me that he felt this game was going to be something special. I bought it in 2020, after reading mixed reviews, and I still really liked the game. Even then. With these new updates, though…I think they have gotten close to realizing that initial vision of what they wanted their game to be. NMS is nothing short of beautiful now.

I had about 350 hours on the old PS4 version, and had kinda done everything already. Living ship, tricked out S class freighter, and a massive fleet, rare S class royal ships, the whole nine. Once I got my PS5, I lost those hours on the new version. And I don't even care. I will be playing this almost exclusively, until another Fallout, Skyrim, or GTA VI comes out.

What idiot would buy a game where one can instantly lower the difficulty to easy at anytime!?!?🤔

I was about to criticize this channel for simingly criticizing NO MANSKY, but thank you for being true and saying the facts about the game specially paying respect to this respectable game dev, but the tone/voicce could be improved lol seriously you lazy or unconvinced of what your saying in some part. but overall respect to you for being fair towards no mansky gameranx.

I didn't hop into this game until the Next update. I took a years long hiatus after the 2019 update. Just hopping back in on a new save today. Even now, the game feels way different in such a better way compared to 2019.

If they simply made it actually multiplayer so that players can legitimately populate the in game universe – it'd skyrocket to the top mmo list, pun intended lol

Just started playing two weeks ago. I had pre-ordered this game, believe it or not, but didn't get into it and stopped playing. Fast forward to two weeks, I decided to give it a try on the ps portal and i'm hooked. It's definitely not the same game. I have a question to veteran players… I built a corvette and it great for the storage containers out and about but whenever I go to an atlas or freighter, I spawn in outside the map or between walls and stuck. So, my question is, on your regular starship, is there a way to install storages or maybe a teleport to the storages?

I recently bought it and I’ve been having such a good time with it, it’s easily in my top 10 favourite games now

As someone who preordered the game I could draft a video essay on what I think about it. It was fun when it launched even with its flaws (like animal sounds in supposedly empty planets), but it's amazing now. The expeditions are surprisingly engaging while other players are doing it too. That's the kind of multiplayer I like. Knowing that they are there, but not really interacting with each other.

Not to mention the optimization they did is crazy, I play this on my MacBook from time to time about 40-50 fps on medium settings !

Playing with the VR2 blew my mind. Game is even better and they added a lot since it launched. The VR made me comeback and boy I didn't know they did so much more to the game. It's beautiful.

I played no man sky’s when it released and I had never been as disappointed as I was that day.

I started playing it again this year, it’s a completely different game, for the better.

The game is awesome.

Some players are still sad that Sean didnt give us the most promised thing in NMS >> "Anime Aliens", soooo saaaadd!

Disclaimer: I am just being sarcastic. I know that the Sean Murray never promised "anime aliens" for No Man's Sky. Its likely from a joke or fan art in the gaming community, especially in the context of the game's very famous pre-launch hype and controversy.
