Outlander Season 8 is off to a thrilling start. The emotional final season premiered on Friday, March 6, 2026, opening up several storylines for characters new and old. The final season of everyone’s favorite time-traveling drama follows Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) as they return to their home on Fraser’s Ridge after trying to leave the dangers of the Revolutionary War behind.

Unfortunately, strife and tragedy seem to follow the Frasers everywhere they go. Although Outlander Season 8, Episode 1, “Soul of a Rebel,” had many happy moments and reunions, Fraser’s Ridge has changed since Jamie and Claire’s departure, and it is no longer safe.

When Does Outlander Season 8, Episode 2 Come Out?

Outlander Season 8, Episode 2, “Prophecies,” will be available to stream via Starz on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 12 a.m. ET / 9 p.m. PT (previous day). “Prophecies” will premiere on linear TV at 8:00 p.m. ET on Starz. The episode’s synopsis teases what will happen in the latest episode:

When a violent tragedy shakes the Ridge, the Frasers must lean on their new tenants to make the community whole again.

The teaser shows a very pregnant Rachel (Izzy Meikle-Small) in distress, Claire’s hands covered in blood, and Claire hopelessly telling a shadowed face, “There’s nothing I can do.” With how dangerous childbirth can be, I’m worried about Rachel’s fate in the series. Ian (John Bell) has been through so much trauma relating to losing children before — he and Rachel deserve a happy ending.

Outlander Season 8, Episode 1 left off with Jamie reading about his own death in Frank Randall’s posthumously compiled research. Jamie is still concerned about his prophesied demise in the Episode 2 teaser. As tensions rise on the Ridge, Jamie is advised to kill a new resident of the Ridge: retired British soldier Captain Charles Cunningham (Kieran Bew).

Fans can watch each new Outlander episode starting at midnight ET on the Starz app, with the series finale set to air on Friday, May 15, 2026.

Earlier seasons of Outlander (1–7) are currently available to stream on both the Starz app and Netflix. In addition, the first season of the prequel series Outlander: Blood of My Blood is streaming on Starz.
