PlayStation trophies and a new overlay come to PC with Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut

PlayStation games have already become quite common on PC with games like Horizon Forbidden West and God of War leading the charge, but PlayStation integration on Steam and the Epic Games Store is getting even deeper with the launch of Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut in May.

In addition to a ton of new PC-specific features like ultrawide support and image upscaling via DLSS and more, the PC version of Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut will debut with an all-new PlayStation overlay that includes your friends list, PSN profile, and other PSN features. The most surprising addition of the bunch is Trophy support, allowing you to earn PSN Trophies on PC for the first time ever.

The Trophy set for Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is the exact same as the PlayStation 5 version, and Trophies earned on either platform will automatically unlock whenever you swap between them. If you complete a milestone on the PC version of Ghost of Tsushima, you’ll see the Trophy on your PS5 the next time you log in. Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut also supports achievements on Steam and the Epic Games Store too for those of you who don’t care about PSN Trophies.

The PlayStation overlay, accessed by pressing Shift + F1, is making its debut alongside Ghost of Tsushima because the game features full cross-play between PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC for its cooperative Legends multiplayer mode. This is a first for PlayStation games on PC, and it will likely continue to pop up in future titles thanks to this new PlayStation overlay.

PlayStation has also shared the recommended system requirements for Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, and you should be able to play the game at low settings with fairly old hardware or crank the settings ultra-high if you have a top-of-the-line rig.

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut will be released on Steam and the Epic Games Store on May 16, and it’ll include the Iki Island expansion and all of the new features included in the PS5 version of the Director’s Cut as well. If the PC port of Horizon Forbidden West is any indication, then PC players have a lot to look forward to with this Ghost of Tsushima port.
