The A Mystic Hero event in Pokemon GO has started, adding new Timed and Special Research to the game. Blanche is asking for help in furthering knowledge on Pokemon evolution. With evolving as the theme, the research requirements can be a little difficult to complete. Here’s all the requirements for both the Timed, and Special Research in Pokemon GO’s A Mystic Hero event.
A Mystic Hero Timed Research Requirements Stage 1
Timed Research is the easier of the two to complete, given it does have a deadline. The Timed Research quests will disappear when the event ends on April 17 at 8 p.m., so be sure to complete all three stages and claim your rewards before then.
Finishing the first tier of A Mystic Hero’s Time Research is fairly easy. You’ll want to transfer only three Pokemon and evolve only one, as Stage 2 of this Timed Research requires you to do more of the same.
- Catch 5 Pokemon: Rewards Poke Ball x5
- Transfer 3 Pokemon: Rewards Nanab Berry x5
- Evolve 1 Pokemon: Rewards 1,000 Stardust
Completion Rewards for Stage 1 are:
- 1,000 XP
- Rare Candy x2
- 500 Stardust
Timed Research Requirements Stage 2
As with Stage 1, you’ll want to only evolve three Pokemon as the final stage of this research requires more evolving.
- Catch 10 Pokemon: Rewards Poke Ball x5
- Transfer 5 Pokemon: Rewards Razz Berries x5
- Evolve 3 Pokemon: Rewards 3,000 Stardust
Rewards for completing Stage 2 are:
- 2,000 XP
- Rare Candy x2
- 1,000 Stardust
Timed Research Requirements Stage 3
- Evolve a Pokemon: Rewards Pinap Berry x10
- Evolve 2 Pokemon: Rewards Poke Ball x10
- Evolve 3 Pokemon: Rewards Great Ball x10
- Evolve 4 Pokemon: Rewards Ultra Ball x10
- Evolve 5 Pokemon: Rewards Silver Pinap Berry x10
Stage 3 completion rewards are:
- 3,000 XP
- Magnetic Lure Module x1
- 2,000 Stardust
A Mystic Hero Special Research Stage 1
Unlike the Time Research, once you have access to Special Research, it’ll stay in your log until completed. This is helpful given some of the later requirements in stage 3/4 that can take longer than the event lasts.
- Catch 15 Pokemon: Rewards Poke Ball x10
- Use 10 Pinap Berries to when catching Pokemon: Rewards 1,000 Stardust
- Make 10 Great Throws: Pinap Berry x7
Stage 1 completion rewards:
- A Pokemon encounter (Eevee)
- 1,500 XP
A Mystic Hero Special Research Stage 2/4
- Evolve 5 Pokemon: Rewards Eevee Candy x50
- Use 15 Berries to help catch Pokemon: Rewards Poke Ball x15
- Catch 25 Pokemon: Rewards a Pokemon Encounter (Shelmet)
Completing Stage 2 rewards:
- A Pokemon encounter (Karrablast)
- 2,000 XP
A Mystic Hero Special Research Stage 3/4
- Make 3 Excellent Throws: Rewards 5,000 Stardust
- Earn 5 Candies walking with your Buddy: Rewards Razz Berry x10
- Evolve 10 Pokemon: Rewards a Pokemon Encounter (Inkay)
Completing Stage 3 gets you:
- The Blanche Accessory Lapras encounter
- 2,500 XP
A Mystic Hero Special Research Stage 4/4
Stage 4 is different from the others, in that you’ll just need to Claim Reward three times to complete it.
- Claim Reward!: Rewards Sinnoh Stone x1
- Claim Reward!: Rewards Unova Stone x1
- Claim Reward!: Rewards Ultra Ball x15
Once you’ve claimed all the items, you’ll be further rewarded with:
- A Glacier Lure Module
- 2,500 XP
Those are all the requirements for the Timed Research and Special Research during A Mystic Hero. This is a great event to complete research in as you’ll be rewarded four different evolution items.
