Enjoy the Pokémon GO Sweet Swarms event, the debut of Snom, the Cozy Companions event, Munchlax Hatch Day, and Origin Forme Dialga and Palkia Raid Day! A truly bumper week of GO. Plus weekly Spotlight Hour, daily Raid/ Hours, Dynamax Battles, Mega Raids, GO Battle League Season 23, and Season‑long Delightful Days bonuses.

- Raid Boss Change (August 4): Lugia and Mega Ampharos return to the raid pool
- Max Monday (August 4): Dynamax Omanyte appears in Max Battles from 6 PM to 7 PM.

On Monday, August 4th, from 6 PM to 7 PM local time, Dynamax Omanyte will appear in Max Battles! Dynamax Kabuto will continue to appear from August 4 to August 10 in Max Battles:
Spotlight Hour: Swirlix
On Tuesday, August 5th, from 6 PM to 7 PM local time, Swirlix will be the featured Pokémon for Spotlight Hour, along with 2× stardust for catching Pokémon!
Raid Hour: Lugia
On Wednesday, August 6th, from 6 PM to 7 PM local time, Lugia will be the featured Pokémon for Raid Hour!
Events in Pokémon GO This Week
Sweet Swarms
The Pokémon GO Sweet Swarm 2025 is a global event running from August 3 to August 6, 2025. This event features boost chances of encountering Shiny Combee and Shiny Swirlix! On top of that, enjoy one hour Lure Modules that are more likely to attract event themed Pokémon.
Cozy Companions Event
Pokémon GO Cozy Companions event runs from August 6, 2025 to August 12, 2025. This event features the debut of Snom and Frosmoth, plus the shiny release of Tandemaus! On top of that, an increased chance to encounter Tandemaus from Party Play and more bonuses.
Munchlax Hatch Day
Munchlax Hatch Day takes place on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Munchlax will hatch much more frequently from 2 km Eggs. You’ll also have an increased chance of hatching Shiny Munchlax!
Origin Raid Day
Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia feature in Pokémon GO during a special Raid Day event on Sunday, August 10, 2025. Trainers can look forward to an increased chance to encounter Shiny Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia, up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs, and a temporarily increased Remote Raid Pass limit.

From August 4th to August 11th, Lugia will appear in the five-star raids.

Shadow Raids
One-star and three-star Shadow Raids will be available daily, while five-star Shadow Raids will take place on Saturdays and Sundays unless otherwise noted. Also, Shadow Regirock will swoop into five-star Shadow Raids during Delightful Days! You may even encounter a Shiny Shadow Regirock—if you’re lucky!
Egg-pedition Access
Eggs-pedition Access returns during Delightful Days! Every month, Trainers will be able to purchase a ticket that includes bonuses and Timed Research. Trainers will also receive an Incubator with their first PokéStop or Gym Photo Disc spin every day!
GO Battle League Season 23
GO Battle League: Delightful Days begins on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7).
The following will occur at the beginning of the Season:
- End-of-Season rewards will be available on the Battle screen.
- Your GO Battle League rank will be reset.
- Rank-up requirements will remain the same as the prior Season.
