DeNA and The Pokemon Company have revealed the latest Pokemon TCG Pocket expansion, and it’s got new Mega Evolutions for you to do battle with, as well as new gold flairs and more.
Like Fantastical Parade and Mega Rising before it, Pulsing Aura, which launches on April 27th, is a full-scale expansion rather than a Mega Shine-style booster pack. Mega Rising in particular is an important touchstone for this latest expansion, because it’s packing new Mega Evolved Pokemon.
Mega Lucario and Mega Sceptile are the cover stars of Pulsing Aura, and they both feature in stunning-looking new cards with 3D artwork, not to mention powerful attacks that should make short work of unprepared opponents.
It’s not just these two that are getting new cards, though. You can also look forward to new designs for the likes of Vaporeon, who’s getting a shiny ex card, as well as fighting bears Kubfu and Urshifu, with Kubfu’s new card showing off some rather neat-looking full art.
New Trainer cards will also be introduced to help give you the upper hand in battle, and you ‘ll also find new gold frame flairs for one, two, and three-diamond cards. You’ll get one of these frames for collecting ten of the same card, and that counts retroactively, too, which is neat.
That’s all alongside lots of new events to keep you swapping and battling cards, as well as new Elite Deck Gift Missions and a whole host of other new cards that haven’t been shown off yet. You know what to expect from a Pokemon TCG Pocket set by now if you’ve been playing since launch!
Pokemon TCG Pocket‘s Pulsing Aura expansion arrives on April 27th. The game itself is available for free right now on Android and iOS, so get downloading if you’re a card fanatic and you haven’t checked it out yet.
