After months of teases and hints, Cook and Becker has finally revealed its upcoming Rayman art book, The Art & Design of Rayman, which is launching in Fall 2026 and has an impressive $150 collector’s edition.
For a long while, Rayman fans haven’t had a whole lot to be excited about. The last major game in the series was 2013’s excellent Rayman Legends, and the limbless wonder was mostly silent in the decade that followed while Ubisoft focused on Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Watch Dogs. That’s started to change in the past few years, though.
Not only has Rayman had a starring role in Captain Laserhawk and an expansion for Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, but Ubisoft has actually outright confirmed that it’s working on a new game in the series. That game is still some time away and unlikely to get more details for Rayman’s 30th anniversary this year, but there’s something very cool on the way that should tide us all over.
Rayman Is Finally Getting A Proper Art Book To Celebrate His 30th Anniversary
Someone Stop Me From Spending All My Lums
Over the past few months, Cook and Becker, who is known for their premium art books and prints, has been teasing a project related to Rayman, which was recently confirmed to be an art book. That art book has now been fully unveiled by the official Rayman Twitter account, which gave us our first look at The Art & Design of Rayman.
The hefty 250+ page art and design book is a collaboration between Cook and Becker and Lost in Cult, and is available for pre-order up on Cook and Becker’s website. Rayman’s first proper art book won’t launch until Fall 2026, but it’s packed full of behind-the-scenes stories, concept art, reflections from developers, and much more.
Rayman has technically had an art book before, but it was a short 50 page one that was included in the Rayman Origins collector’s edition. This is the real deal.
The Art & Design of Rayman comes in two forms. The standard edition, which costs $54.95 is just the 250+ book on its own with no bonuses, but the $149 collector’s edition comes with a slipcase, detachable feet as a stand, a magnet board and print holder, and even an art print from one of the “earliest Rayman concept art sketches”.
While the base version of The Art & Design of Rayman doesn’t seem to be limited, the collector’s edition is only available during the pre-order period, which will stop at some point this Christmas. Both versions are shipping in Fall 2026, and you can be sure that I’ll talk myself into buying the collector’s edition before then.
