Resident Evil 4 Remake: Electronic Lock Terminal Puzzle Solution

You’ll encounter the Electronic Lock Puzzle in Resident Evil 4 Remake while trying to get the facility keycard on the Island. Here, you’ll need to send power to two nodes by rotating a series of blocks that turn and redirect power to different sections of the grid.

While the Electronic Lock Terminal Puzzle might sound daunting, it’s actually pretty simple. The difficult part is remembering to switch over the power so the puzzle area is operational. You’ll also need to avoid the Regenaradors to do so — but don’t worry, they won’t interrupt your puzzle-solving.

How to Bypass the Electronic Lock Terminal

You can find the terminal marked on your map. Once you’ve turned the power on, go over to it to find the puzzle.

By moving the stick, you can select which of the three layers of boxes you want to select. Pressing confirm on any layer will rotate all the boxes.

You need to get the boxes to line up so that the power goes into both required nodes and the symbol on the upper right reads 2/2.

To solve the Electronic Lock, you rotate the outer layer three times. Then, you rotate the middle layer twice. You don’t need to do anything to the inner layer.

Now, lock this in by sliding the stick as far to the right as possible and hitting confirm. Once you do, the door will open and you’ll be able to get your key card.

Follow those instructions, and you’ll solve the Electronic Lock Terminal Puzzle in Resident Evil 4 Remake lickety-split. For more puzzle tips and other help with the survival horror game, head over to our guides hub for the game.
