Resident Evil 4 Remake Rank Requirements Guide

The rank you get for completing the Resident Evil 4 remake doesn’t just count for bragging rights — it grants unlocks like accessories and costumes. Each difficulty level has its own ranking requirements, ranging from B to S+.

This guide goes over each difficulty’s A through S+ rank requirements, which mostly entail playtime. Only S+ has a separate requirement, and on Professional difficulty, it has a third to keep things spicy.

To receive an S+ on any difficulty, you must be playing on a brand new save, meaning New Game+ runs are exempt from S+ rankings. You can’t use weapons or Pesetas brought over from previous playthroughs for this prestigious ranking, so it will take practice to get it down.

Resident Evil 4 Remake Rank Requirements

Assisted Difficulty Ranking Requirements

  • A Rank: 15 hours
  • S Rank: Four hours
  • S+ Rank: Four hours (New playthrough)

Standard Difficulty Ranking Requirements

  • A Rank: 12 hours
  • S Rank: Five hours
  • S+ Rank: Five hours (New playthrough)

Hardcore Difficulty Ranking Requirements

  • A Rank: 10 hours
  • S Rank: Five hours and 30 minutes
  • S+ Rank: Five hours and 30 minutes (New playthrough)

Professional Difficulty Ranking Requirements

  • A Rank: Seven hours
  • S Rank: Five hours and 30 minutes
  • S+ Rank: Five hours and 30 minutes with 15 saves or less (New playthrough)

Getting an S+ rank on Professional is no joke. If you end up saving 16 times, you’re no longer eligible for S+ and instead will be defaulted to S, even if you meet the time condition. Get that practice in, and you just might be able to get it in eventually.
