S., isn't in the game but Leon is? That's wild. We've been wanting a remake of all the OG games, the first, zero, and Veronica. The fifth would be welcome but I think closure for the OG's would be more welcome than another Leon game, even though Leon is great AF.

LEON ITS NOT GOING TO BE IN THE GAME, stop spreading fake news and lies, dusk golem it’s totally off on this game, nothing he says makes sense, the only playable characters we know are Grace and Alyssa, probably we are going to play as Lisa Trevor too before she became the monster chasing Grace in the demo, telling a little more about Lisa and how she became that monster.

You have to take it with a grain of salt due to a possible mistranslation, but apparently Capcom stated during the TGS, that Grace’s side of the game won’t just take place in the hospital. Wdym “Grace’s side of the game?” 🤨
It would be more interesting if it was Billy Coen. He was there when the entire mess began with Resident Evil 0. It would be kind of cool if he was managed to get caught up in this and earned a pardon for saving Grace. No more running from the law. However, part of Requiem is set in RPD, so I wouldn't be surprised if we get Leon, Chris, or Kevin as the other playable character. All three of them have ties to the RPD. Though if I had to pick one, I'd say Kevin since he was one of the characters you could play as in the Outbreak games.
Personally, I think it would make sense if the campaign were 14 hours long, just like RE4.R, with two characters, and the second main character being Leon. However, the truth is that the trailers don't show us this scenario at all, but rather the opposite. If people give the example in the trailer where there's this guy who's probably been shot. He says, "Stay away from her." Why the hell would he say that to Leon? He's more likely saying it to the antagonist. Yes, Leon will be in RE9, because IGN accidentally leaked it, and there were some minor teasers from the developer himself, but I really don't think he'll have a major role. Leon will be more like Chris in RE8. Keep in mind, folks, that so far, nothing Dusk Golem has said has come true. He's still just an insider, and as far as I'm concerned, at least regarding RE9, he's completely off the mark.
Could be that the game offers you 2 paths similar to Resident Evil 2: one for Grace and the other for Leon.
sick of hearing about Leon at this point, I'm more than happy with it being focused on grace and Alyssa. There is zero evidence that Leon will be in the game at all yet every single video about it is about him, if he isn't in it, so many people will have set themselves up for disappointment.
Grace has been confirmed by Capcom that she will be the main protagonist in the game you be playing her. The game has also confirmed to be more Survival Horror and story driven and less on action horror. If Leon is in it and we do get to play as him, he will be played in a very small percentage in the game and only a small section of the game. This game will focus mainly on Grace and her story. I want to play as Grace not only that she is a new character but I really like her character. At the start it's been confirmed she is a bit weak but more into the story she will be more brave and can carry weapons like a hand gun. I want the game to focus on Survival Horror and less on action Horror.

Who cares, Leon is in all the new remakes etc save the winters storyline basically and all the way back to re6 onwards. There are so many other great characters in resident evil who can return

Just because there is a pre order date doesn’t mean the delay is near zero. Capcom could very well push this game further into 2026 if needed. ( cold take: Leon needs to be nerfed as he’s overused )

i just looked at original box art and mostly remakes show protags not original games the show from eyes, zombies or bosses. and i am not investing any money until i see combat and i urge everyone else to do the same i don't want to play poppy playtime i want a resident evil game.
