Cool but can I just buy the OS? I primarily use my pc like a console as is, so a more appropriate UI would go so hard.

Favatar

can you screen record or go live on the xbox ally that would be a good feature to have.

I have my doubts that they actually created this design by just stretching some clear rubber or plastic or whatever.

Favatar

will it have cross save between it and ps5

Favatar

By making the console's wireless controller battery less.

Favatar

The only thing they did was take an existing thing and say it's from Xbox 🤣🤣🤣
Xbox is bulshit, and it's from ROG, not Xbox 😉

2:54 so from the sounds of this you can't play your entire xbox library (xbox 360 games, etc)

Favatar

🤣 Microsoft doesn’t want to sell you the cow — they just want to strap you in and milk you monthly. Game Pass is the leash. 🐄 🔐

The Switch 2 hitting for $449, and based on handheld pricing right now I can see the base model in the $500-$600 dollar range and the X model probably in the $700-$800 range. Hopefully Microsoft doesn't get too greedy and handicap the device with a high barrier of entry with the pricing.

So you can go online with it and play friends or with friends?

Favatar

I need to know if I can actually play the games I have in my series S on this handheld natively without having to stream them.

I hope the Windows Xbox OS becomes available to boot on any machine. I’d love to have a compact PC hooked up to my TV running that instead of full Windows.

This is a really, REALLY bad time to launch a handheld at a premium price. Nintendo is already shattering records in sales and completely saturating the handheld market with the Switch 2 with 3+ million sold in 24 hours. They're actually predicting sales of over 10 million units in a single week. Do you realize how absurd that is? That would put it almost 500% ahead of the #2 which was the PS5 at 2.1 million. All for $450. Nintendo's company practices may be abysmal but they own the gaming market right now. There's no stopping them.

Favatar

Favatar

No need in getting a ps5/6 now. I’ll play ps games on Xbox with all the other pc games.

At 3:28, when she says “Indie games,” the video cuts to “Indiana Jones.” Not sure if the editor did that on purpose, but it’s a fun touch.

"Freedom of Windows."

Ah yes, Windows… the OS that gives you "freedom". Yeah, if I do buy this thing, I'm installing Linux on it.

Favatar

Can I connect this to my TV without weird lag or converters?

Favatar

Okay so does this mean that Vert from the Neptunia Series finally have a little sister now?

Favatar

There is no mention of the epic games launcher, I was expecting it to be also part of the supported games launcher client.

Favatar

Come on with the pre-order. Stop playing. Or maybe start in this case…

Favatar

With the Tariffs, high cost of groceries, hard pass

Favatar

I can't see this succeeding as soon as they said it was running Windows. How is this any different than the original Ally?

Favatar

I’m a bit anxious about the price.

Favatar

People thinking this is a ROG ally with an xbox button couldnt be more wrong. Windows gave xbox full access to windows, xbox reengineered windows and remove all unrelated gaming features saving tons of resources. So now its windows booting into the xbox OS that runs steam, battlenet, discord, and many more gaming storefronts natively. This is a mazing for gaming, and most importantly for pc gamiing as well. We now have have windows OS strickly for Gaming. Thats lighter faster and more efficient.

Favatar

Can I run all my pirated and emulated games on it like I can on Steam Deck?

Favatar

Offline is the key … not locked DRM online streaming device with a digital library that can be deleted on a whim

Favatar

watch it be more than $500, probably worse than that. i’m good
