Trainers! We are excited to share with you the next Season’s Community Day dates, along with dates for other special events occurring during December 2025, January and February 2026. Get the dates in your diary and get excited!
The dates for next Season’s Community Days are as follows:
- Saturday and Sunday, December 6th to 7th, 2025
- Sunday, January 4th, 2026 (Community Day Classic)
- Sunday, January 18th, 2026
- Sunday, February 1st, 2026
Our thoughts
December is sure to see the return of all of the Pokémon featured in 2025 Community Day events, so if you missed out on any, this is your time to hunt for them! Expect to see Sprigatito, Shelmet, Karrablast, Fuecoco, Vanillite, Pawmi, Jangmo-o, Quaxly, Rookidee, Flabébé, Solosis and Pikipek all return on for the event.
January has both a Classic, and a regular Community Day! Who could we see return for a classic? I think 2025 could see Chikorita as the focus, as both Totodile and Cyndaquil have already made a return for a Community Day Classic, and with Meganium gaining a new Mega Evolution in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, now could be the time for Chikorita to shine! For the regular Community Day, let’s keep our fingers crossed for a new shiny debut, could the Galar starters finally get their moment? We skipped past Galar right to Paldea because of the way they debuted in GO, so it could be their time!
February could also focus on Galar, and it would be really fun to see not only a new shiny, but a new Pokémon. Dottler is a Bug and Psychic type from the Galar region, and their final evolution Orbeetle was featured in the initial Gigantamax trailer, but the family hasn’t been teased since. Let’s see them not only debut in GO, but with a bang on a Community Day!
Other Event Dates
Community Days aren’t the only events on the horizon for the coming Season—there are other fun in-game events on the way, and their dates are as follows:

- Saturday, December 20th, 2025 (Research Day)
- Saturday, January 10th, 2026 (Raid Day)
- Saturday, January 24th, 2026 (Shadow Raid Day)
- Saturday, January 31st, and Sunday, February 1st, 2026 (Max Battle Weekend)
- Saturday, February 7th, 2026 (Catch Mastery Day)
- Saturday, February 14th, 2026 (Raid Day)
- Sunday, February 15th, 2026 (Max Battle Day)
Our thoughts
It looks like the next season is going to be just as Raid and Max Battle heavy as Delightful Days and Tales of Transformation were! 6 of the announced dates are Raid or Max Battle events, and hopefully we see some exciting Pokémon featured.
It would be fun to see Gigantamax Meowth, or Gigantamax Eevee debut in one of the Max Battle events, Gigantamax Meowth in particular has a hilarious design I’d love to see in game.
A logical guess for the Valentine’s Day raid day would be Eternatus returning once again, could it be shiny this year?
We also have a Research Day, and a Catch Mastery Day listed. The Research Day is right before Christmas, so an Ice type would be a timing appropriate choice. We’ve had typing themed Research Day events in recent times, so perhaps a dedicated Ice type Research Day would be most fitting for the season!
We’ve had a few Catch Mastery events and they are always a good time to grind for a shiny, with free timed research rewarding encounters with the featured Pokémon. The last one we had was Archen, and it does have a ‘partner’ Pokémon in Tirtouga, so could Tirtouga feature, or something entirely different? It is near Valentine’s Day, so maybe something pink or ‘love’ themed like Cherubi, or a debut like Flamigo!
