This is what I expect from this supposed direct on Friday September 12th:
-Metroid prime 4 gameplay and release date either October or november
-Hyrule warriors gameplay trailer and release date in December
-Splatoon raiders announced for March 2026
-rhythm heaven groove early 2026
-Tomodachi life announced for spring 2026
-reminders that legends za and kirby air riders launch in October and November
-ff7 remake and Elden ring october/November
-galaxy 2 hd shadow dropped on the eshop for the anniversary, releases physically two weeks later
-fire emblem 18 announced for 2026
I'd be so happy if a new fire emblem showed up (not a warriors one lol!) I am also hoping for more tomodachi life news. It'd be the best direct if it had both! Not expecting animal crossing to be there, but if it was that would be awesome too 😊
Let there be a Paper Mario in the style of the original Paper Mario’s. That’s my most anticipated game at the time.
I’m still praying we somehow get a Prime 2&3 remastered shadow drop in the Sept direct. Maybe they announce Prime 4 as the holiday season game and give us 2&3 to play on the Switch 2 while we wait. But sadly, this feels like the last hope of getting those. If they don’t do it now, we’re never getting them, which would really be a shame for all of us that have never played them.
It will be interesting to see what Nintendo got in line for Switch 1 in 2026 and beyond. We know the Switch 1 will have a 10 years lifecycle. I'm gonna say Game And Watch Mega Collection. Why? Because this year marks the 45th anniversary of Game And Watch! It would run absolutley perfect on Switch 1: All 47 released games, even remade from the ground up would barley exceed 5 GB in total leaving even room for documentaries, special stages… I just do hope they won't use it as an Amiibo garbagepin!!

I honestly am surprised nobody’s talking about the Direct that took place on August 26 of 2025 that gave release date for everything from Metro prime Ford all kinds of games not to mention revealed the next Mario 3-D game a new console coming to switch online is nobody watching the Nintendo channel
I still argue, and I note, this is without playing future redeemed or rhe new epiloguev ftom X yet. My guess is Monolith Soft isn't working on a new game. It's working on a remake of an old one. Gears was Episode V, and I could see maybe working on a proper remake with a lot of the new events. But that's just my guess.

I'm hoping phantasy star online episode 1 and 2 plus on the switch with internet access, though a new fire emblem would be nice, or the ability to play radiant dawn and path of radiance. My cope is for a pokemon master collection so we can get access to old games that never got switch playability.
This better be a banger of a direct, haven’t had a proper normal direct since Switch 2 released which is insane and this year needs to be filled out and we need some big 2026 and beyond surprises.

I think we will get two shadow drops from Nintendo maybe not being the same day but dropped nonetheless. I also think we have a release date for Metroid Prime 4 Beyond Splatoon Raiders and Hyrule Warriors revealing that they come out this year. If I were to guess it will be Splatoon Raiders in October Metroid Prime 4 Beyond and Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment for December and one more Switch 2 Edition game (along with the shadow drop) for November. But that is for this year I don't have a clue about next year. I will just have to wait until then like everybody else that doesn't dig around for rumors and leaks.
Switch 2 has been very disappointing so far. The upcoming ps6 hybird might finally end Nintendo forever

I'd be surprised if that event on the 12th is a general direct, and even more surprised if it so much as hinted at a 2026 game. More info on Prime 4 will also probably have to wait until a Prime 4 direct in the latter half of September.

Having Weight of Life in the background is just peak. I think it's about time we get more news about Metroid Prime 4, it's been too long since Metroid Prime 3. I guess the demo for pokemon will be available as download for everyone in the Switch store.

More importantly, to get more of the Ancient Sages to be fleshed out as we have gotten a glimpse of the unmasked Ancient Sages of Lightning, to learn more about Ganondorf (since the Japanese text in TOTK reveals his true motives), and the appearance of Kotake, Koume, and Twinrova.
