Oh my goodness, I recently built an off-the-grid mushroom house. Looks like the perfect time to make a fairy-themed sim and play through this event in my build!
I don't like that the events are time locked and some will miss out. On the other hand it's been like that with all kinds of games before and still will. 🤷♀️ I play World of Warcraft, and I've missed out on some things in that too. Wow costs a monthly fee and money for each expansion too.
But I'm glad it's being announced in good time at least.
It seems the goals are optional, if you have the packs, so people won't miss out if they don't have the pack.
I love sims a lot but can’t play very often cause I have to uninstall it every time I want to play another game cause I have no storage which means I don’t play as often as I like and I missed some past events like this and it really sucks that that stuff is just gone now and I can’t get it due to things out of my control. I hate exclusivity so seeing it happen to a game I love makes me sad every time.
The Sims Freeplay do have pools plus spas some pools are even round we have had those for a while, we can make our pools oblong, square, short or long I have made a different shape pool and they have different colors for our pools, water falls. So I'm not sure what would be Make a Splash would be.
There were some new base games items I saw one evening that I now for the life of me can not find again!
So help me Bob…. If they don’t stop giving us the SAME WOODWORKING TABLE!!!!!!! We never needed or asked for more than 1! Isn’t this like the 4th version they’ve given us?

things i’d like to see in this pack:
1. BIRD FEEDERS. interactable wild birds. ‘scatter seeds’ animations, squirrel thieves, ‘bird haven’ lot trait, feather piles. collect enough feathers to trade with pixie merchant.
2. WILD DEER. similar to how wild foxes work. shed antlers to turn into jewelry and decor items.
3. TERRARIUMS. new plantable/harvestable succulents and mosses that can be arranged into glass terrariums similar to how flower arranging works.
4. CUSTOMIZABLE TREEHOUSES/PLATFORMS. idk how this one would work: maybe a few large trees with slots to place platforms and then build walls. maybe some sort of new stilt/platform/bridge system.
5. FIREFLIES. ‘catch fireflies’ action/animation, functional nightlight when jarred that effectively scares away monsters under kids’ beds.
6. FAIRY HAIR. if there is not a new hair with tinsel in it in this pack, a very large opportunity has been missed.
7. BUTTERFLY COLLECTION. ‘catch butterfly’ and ‘harvest chrysalis’ interaction. butterflies can be framed or kept in indoor arboretums. (‘release butterfly from net’ interaction via inventory lets butterfly go; if released outdoors it will eventually flit off – if released indoors it will stay so long as there is a nectar source). butterfly metamorphosis/breeding system; stands to place cocoons on as they grow, benefits/perks from gardening near butterflies, butterfly bushes that attract new species, etc.
8. HUMIDITY. plants that require a temperate climate and must be kept enclosed with misters. moss farms. this can puzzle together with the butterfly system somehow.
9. salamanders, skinks, frogs, chipmunks, squirrels as previously mentioned
10. reptile terrariums
I'm figuring that the extra optional quests will be just exactly what they've already been doing – only now its acknowledged and we'll all see them instead of people having to compare their quests to notice them like we have in previous events. Is it perfect? With them like pushing the selling? Of course not, but its a minor change to me if I'm right.
