In case you hadn’t heard, Star Wars Battlefront 2, the newer, but still almost eight-year-old, game with that name has been experiencing a resurgence. It smashed its concurrent player record on Steam over the weekend, and if you want to pick up a copy to help keep those numbers growing and to see what all the fuss is about, I would do it today.

That’s because, if you want to pick up a copy of Battlefront 2 on Xbox, you can do so today for as little as $5.99. That’s a massive 70 percent off its usual – still pretty low considering what you get – price of $19.99. However, the clock is ticking on this deal. Battlefront 2’s Celebration Edition was released to celebrate the second anniversary of the game’s launch in 2019. Along with the base game, it includes an additional 25 hero appearances, including the introduction of characters from Rise of Skywalker like Finn and Rey. Good news for those of you without an Xbox, too, as the Celebration Edition of Battlefront 2 is $9.99 on the PlayStation Store right now as well.

PlayStation’s sale is running until June 5, so plenty of time to grab Battlefront 2 for $10 even if you’re seeing this well after the day on which it was published.

Star Wars fans have been returning to Battlefront 2 in their droves. It appears to have begun on May 4 – Star Wars Day – but rather than everyone leaving the game again after, they’ve stayed and convinced others to join them. What began as people flocking back to the game has turned into a campaign to get EA to notice and start work on a Battlefront 3.
