Bethesda has stayed completely silent about Starfield’s future DLC prompting some, like Tassi at Forbes, to theorize that the game is dead. According to Jez Corden and NateTheHate, Starfield is very much alive with DLC planned…but it is now rumored to be delayed until 2026.
Plus, we need to check in what Starfield has been doing in terms of updates, like the Kinggath Creations ‘Watchtower’ DLC which is fantastic. It is also said to be coming to Playstation 5 later this year and Gamescom might be the perfect stage to reveal the future of Starfield.

I got bored with Starfield. I never finished the last DLC! At its start I immediately said "Nope". The was a waste of money. The game is good, it just doesn't have to continue playability of Fallout 4. I will never pre order Bethesda again. Once bitten, twice shy.

Though not popular I love the game. Starfield is designed as a game you'll keep coming back to for the next 30 years. You play, get immersed, burn out, set aside for awhile n come back to later.
Hopefully there is a big DLC coming that has tons of content but also addresses the biggest problems with Starfield, being lifeless, random encounters not being varied enough, load screens everywhere and space and plant gameplay basically feeling like 2 different games while space gameplay being almost pointless with the small amount of things to do in the small pockets you warp to
It will take a lot to cook the s**t out of this turd. They need to lift the radiator cap and replace everything under it. For me shipbuilding and ship combat is the worst I have ever experienced in any game I've played. Not going to hold my breath for a new DLC. You can put lipstick on this turd but it will still be a turd.
What about mining asteroids? Encountering black holes? Avoiding quasars?
For me personally, the only thing that can save starfield is a coop mode.
Replace the writers at starfield ip Bethesda. They are the reason this ip is lackluster. Polish the mechanics. Rebalance the skill effects to be more impactful. Dont soft lock content behind the skill system. Lean into the games best feature(ship builder)
I bought FO4 on a Steam sale, haven't played yet, I didnt care or bought FO76, I didnt bought Starfield. And from what that company has to offer, I probably won't buy TES6. I'm just gonna go back modding Skyrim 😂

What’s concerning about Starfield: it showed a complete lack of understanding from Bethesda of what makes their games special.
They need to figure out a way to not take 10-15 years to make a new Bethesda game. That’s the problem. They have Microsoft backing them yet they can’t get games done faster ? Crazy.

Personally I found the quest writing to be Starfield's biggest weakness. They were simply lame, and in many cases characters like Sarah would never stop whining! Such it up Buttercup, you had command, deal with it!
No expansion or DLC can fix the fact that the core game is fundamentally flawed. Which is so sad, because the I love the whole concept of Starfield, but it's just horrible to play. What they need to do is just rebuild the whole bloody thing and do it properly this time.
I had REALLY HIGH HOPES FOR THIS GAME, only to have them dashed. I did not even play halfway through the game, I was that bored, and fed up with the space aspect (non-space) and just gave up after being constantly overencumbered cr*p etc etc….
I actually bought the 'Special' edition with Shattered Space, but I never installed it.
I tried playing Starfield again, son of a bitch man, ive got 3 MAIN MISSIONS bugged to the point where i have to reset…No more money for Bethesda from me…20+ yrs and STILL CANT RELEASE A GAME THAT WORKS!
Maybe there are following the rules of 25 years ago. Make a game, release a game, forget the game and move on. This need for players to hang onto games for years is just silly.
I think starfield should've been more like death stranding.
All the equipment you carry is visible on your player character, you build infrastructure with materials you gather.
You could incentivize the development of roads, manufacturing plants, fuel refineries etc, by making the player's ship need X, Y & Z materials anytime you jump and land to a planet.
Just imagine coming across another player's vehicle, or an oxygen resupply station on your playthrough, and it saves you from dying, it'd make the world feel like there's explorers out there doing the same retarded shit you're doing that the people back in the cities are too pompous and self-entitled to do.

Bethesda has always expected the modders to expand/finish the game for free while people would purchase the base game. If you could really call it a game. They could have done so much more.
And Ltbuzz stop using that steam player count, because it's misinformation and I report your channel for it! There are a lot more players on PC and consoles players that play Starfield, and I hate to say it, but Starfield isn't dead! Even I play starfield with 225 mods about!
Literally the ONLY reason I redownloaded Starfield and find it playable is because of a wabbajack mod load of 331+ mods and tweaks by Genesis total overhaul. It's actually not ass anymore. Sad that it took many hundreds of mods to make it stop being so meh

Starfield could do well to add a lot more variety to NPCs. The worst part of the game was the very limited pool of NPC types and simplistic way they are either "bad guys" or "good guys" with no nuance.

everything just felt so flat. run for 10 min to get to something that might or not be something decent.
space combat just felt really bland.

I really enjoyed Starfield.
But, there's not enough content to keep me going after 3 full playthroughs, even with mods.
If they added more missions and content, I might come back. And I think many players share this same sentiment.
If I were Todd Howard, I'd be embarrassed and ashamed that it takes modders to realise the potential of this game. Through modding, it's the creativity of ordinary players that actually manages to add some shine to a turdy game.
