If Microsoft removes the subscription for online play, I can see Xbox going big. There are so many people out there who just play COD or other multiplayer titles on consoles. So having multiplayer free of charge could be a game changer.
I haven't been curious about the developments at Microsoft since the 360 generation. But now I am looking forward to what they will come up with.

I’m a huge PlayStation fanboy. I have been ever since the OG PS. But if the next Xbox doesn’t charge for online features, and allows access to Steam… I may consider jumping ship. I mean, the sheer volume of awesome and affordable games available on day one would be staggering.

To be honest I am only subscribed to PS+ to be able to upload my save to the cloud as PlayStation were kind of nasty not to allow tranfering your saved data on PS5 titles to an USB stick,only can be done with PS4 games . That shows how much they care about money over fanbase.
It's a bummer to hear Sony is considering Days Gone remastered a fail, almost none of us are going to pay full price for it and it's never been discounted so they have no idea how many of us are just waiting for it to not be 50 bucks anymore. They haven't even done a superficial 5 percent knock to the price during one of their epic sales, which they do fairly often with recently released AAA titles… They continue to screw this franchise over with unrealistic metrics.
If the new xbox hardware gets a good competitive price, it might actually be bad news for Sony. I hope so, they are becoming quite a monopoly with bad consumer practices as a result.

A new Playstation handheld will have to be better than the Playstation Portal. Honestly who needs a handheld to use in their own homes on their home wifi? Just use a backbone for half the price. Sony keeps throwing sub par products at us hoping something will stick instead of offering a product that truly delivers quality gaming autonomy. I really hope the new handheld offers this at a reasonable price.

How can you say Sony is anti-consumer if they keep paid multiplayer? You understand that Xbox got rid of free monthly games 2 years ago, and Sony still offers over $1200 worth of games for $80/year. Also PC does not have free online, I'm sick of people saying this. You absolutely need a virus protection subscription on an open platform like PC and will likely need one for Magnus as well and I guarantee if they do drop paid online they won't exactly reduce the price of ultimate lol.. so you are still paying for it. Also most games these days are F2P which Xbox charged for up until this gen, and still charges for for some. And Sony has never charged for F2P. Why is this never spoken about
