That was a surprise. It is a good update. No fuzzy jackets and still do not know to change mermaid outfit. Great dates and fun mini games. We needed those bigger barns.😊
I kinda enjoyed it just being a solo game. I prefer solo games. Not excited about the Coop. It’s like ESO now. Puts me off.

coral island has a lot of potential but i still can't forgive them for selling 1.0 as 1.0 – technically a game you should be able to finish – as an unfinished product. such an ick. glad they are not running away with the money though and giving new updates
I remember before the game came out I was so hyperfixated on it but couldn't find any content until I found your channel! It was all 100% speculation, hopes, and dreams. And now you're in an official trailer and know what the next update is going to be!!!

I’m waiting for 1.3 to play cause that’s going to add something I feel is overlooked too much in these types of games. And then probably wait a lot longer for the switch version to update after that so maybe a year lol🙈 still it’s cool to see it being actively worked on. I just have been patiently waiting for that final big context update. I wish the multiplayer came later and the kid update was in the relationship update, but oh well

Sarah I hope so bad that you respond to this cause you are the only channel i watch that is knowledgeable enough to know this. But do you happened to have any clue if they are still planning to do island hopping? Like I know it was part of the Kickstarter but there has been zero mention of this anywhere I look.
love the video!♥ Just wanted to give you a fun fact for any time you mention funguy swarm, games like that fall under the umbrella "Reverse Bullet Hell". Titles like that are called so because, unlike games known as Bullet Hells, where you are having to avoid a lot of "bullets" usually orbs of damage to get your own "bullets" to hit boss enemies, Reverse bullet hells are focused on you having "weapons" that either shoot "bullets", have auras, or have you swing the weapons in large arcs. 2 other games i enjoy in the "reverse bullet hell" genre are "Death Must Die" and "Vampire Survivors"

I'll probably play the new update a little bit at least until my Farmer has a kid because the last time I played, I did it until I got married. I am purely a single player gamer when it comes to games like this so I was never interested in the multi-player aspect (I know a lot of ppl are though, so I am happy for them). 1.3 with the Kids growing up is the aspect I am looking forward to the most.

the switch release has been so long… and the quality that most games get on the switch… well… lets just say, im no longer waiting or have good hopes about it.
Seems to still have some bugs in some of the festivals. Had to restart on the 2nd year Spring of Tree Planting Festival because I was one short of clearing the field and…the last one could not be found anywhere.
Wonder if the lvl 3 Barn and Coop updates are out….

I’ve been missing your weekly Sunnyside up series 🩷 hoping this game will be on the Switch 2 sometime in the future (let me cope 😔 I don’t have a Switch 2 but I’d get it for the game lol)
I've been wanting to get back into Coral Island but each time I've tried I feel overwhelmed with the current state of my farm and can't remember what all I had going on with the story and friendships and such. I think when this update drops I'll take the opportunity to just start over and re-learn it all from scratch again, that way I don't miss out on any of the new stuff either.
Woulda loved to play funguys swarm as that exclusive pet looks SO CUTE but I'm unfortunately a PS5 player😭

For the cross platform play, I've heard it requires going through a 3rd party, which tends to be very expensive, and is not a one time/lump sum payment (so they pay out thousands every month to support it). So it does seem almost like a pay wall keeping out smaller/indie studios out 🙁

I have been very impatient waiting for this update. I have 700 hours in this game (literally) because I keep starting over not wanting to wait for the update then changing my mind. I'm in Winter Year 1, will I be able to use this save or will I need to restart?

Honestly, they should just kill the Switch version. Runs great on a Steam Deck and at this point, it’s useless bringing it to the Switch/Switch 2.
SO excited for everything about this!!! I gasped when I saw the trailer – because of the content, but also because of hearing Sarah Sunstone on it! 😀 So cool!! I think I am in winter in my current playthrough, so I'm going to need to sit down and speed run the year to get to fall so I can see all the fab outfits, haha.
(But also…. please tell me that my character can wear hats and still have hair… :/ I know they've done a toonnn of work and I'm genuinely SO appreciative – I adore this game. But. The hats, I'm begging. 😭)
I'm waiting until at least 1.3 (and by "at least" I mean they better absolutely nail it.) The devs have a lot of trust to regain. I hope they get it right, both now and when that next update hits.
