While most people were chatting about Clair Obscur, Hollow Knight, Hades, Blue Prince and all the other massive indie game wins in 2025, a huge number of genuinely excellent games quietly slipped past almost everyone.
Games like The Last Caretaker, Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist, Absolum, Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream, Tormented Souls 2, Routine, Total Chaos, and Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel all released this year, all with very positive review scores, yet barely anyone actually played them according to Steam peak player counts.
These are the indie games you shouldn’t have slept on in 2025, the smaller releases that flew under everyones radar. The indie games that should have had way more attention, but were missed by almost everyone.

Be honest, how many of these have you played?
And what indie games from 2025 do you think everyone else slept on?

Absolum is fantastic can't stop playing
Routine is fantastic
Bruh no one sleeps on games that would be very uncomfortable
Tormented souls is a gem I can’t believe how good it is
Great selection, I'll check these out.
Thank you for the recommendation
Would you rather be the last caretaker or the last clock winder? 😂
FUCK AAA MONEY SUCKING COMPANIES!
Wow came here expecting another cut and paste list of games and was surprised at these hidden gems not covered as much on other channels. You earned a sub!
THANK YOU. You actually used the correct term "addictive" and the dumbass term "addicting". The first person I've heard in a long time use the correct English term.
ender mandragolia is basically a chibi version of order of ecclesia. the girl character is a fake shanoa
This is an amazing video. I love passionate game devs! 90% of these games are now on my wish list! The other 10% I already own lol thank you!
i really dont underatand why ppl dont play Tormented Souls, one of the best games ever. i just ordered II
Last Caretaker I am waiting for Steamdeck compatibility. That said I feel like Aboitic Factor should be on here. That game is amazing
Best list on the internet
Solid list but your ignorant attitude totally turned me off to wanting to see more content from you.
WALL-E with guns is a hell of a selling point lmao
What's an emo-fantasy vibe and how does Hollow Knight have it?
Love this game, and the message you brought! I’ll look to buy 3 of these (my style of games) to support the devs as well:
1. Absolum
2. The last caretaker
3. Total Chaos
Timestamps would be great sure, but excellent video and list. You just added to my Steam back log so thank you
I tried total chaos and nearly slept while playing it.
DEI hades isnt even indie.
My PC is sitting in the corner collecting dust since I got a Switch 2. 😂 Bring these out on Switch 2 and I'm all wallet in .
Man this entire list looks like hidden gems. I never play games like these but your video quality did them all justice. They’ll be perfect pick ups for my ally x
Genuenly great video. It's been so hard for me to find any game I haven't heard about. Sadly this christmas budget is already over, I've upgraded my sim racing setup :c (nothing extremely good, just a cheap setup, but me broke). I'll try those games as soon as I'll be able to.
U killed thissssssss thank youuu!! So many games I've never heard of.
Iam from chile and i didnt know about tormenter souls! Looks awesome. thank u for your recomendation
Fun Fact : Jotunslayer was giving for free on epic games a couple days ago… Fun game indeed
Fantastic list man. Thanks.
some of these guys i intentionally do not buy, but have on wishlist, simply because of the fact that i dont wanna burn my money if the devstudio might abandon a game.
"Indian AA games" He doesn't even know what "indie" means 🤣🤡🤡🤡🤡
I'm loving The Last Caretaker, it's not just gorgeous, there's a lot of care in details that make the experience unique and very immersive. The gameplay loop is fun and addictive. At first I thought it was a simple game of exploration and building, then I started to uncover the story and gosh it totally changed my perspective, I can't look at the same places the same way again, it's incredible.
Routine was crap. I pirated it and felt ripped off.
