Comparisons to Cyberpunk 2077 are fatuous.

2077 was, beneath the technical issues and mismanaged expectations, a good game at it's core. Redemption was simply a matter of smoothing the rough edges to allow what was already there to shine.

Minds Eye, crucially, is not. It is a fundamentally bad game at any level of inspection you choose to approach it. Redemption in it's case would essentially involve remaking it entirely from scratch. It's not feasible, and it's not worth it even if it were. As unlike 2077, there is no foundation of interest to build upon; no inherited body of world building, or compelling elevator pitch. It's vaporware with not even a conceptual hook to it's name.

When the studio comes out with the “anyone that criticizes us/our game are paid actors/bots/grifters/racists/bigots/other-ists” you already know they’ve produced a turd and they know that we know that they know it to be so.

How the heck was "Former Producer of Rockstar Games" not a gigantic red flag on its own??? Rockstar is notorious for horrific working conditions, this was virtually a foregone conclusion!

Favatar

When you have a sponsored player laughing at how bad it is, and we watch him playing it live. Watching all the stupid stuff going on. Live with no edits. It was the most bugged worst scripted game I have ever seen.

Favatar

How do you call this mess triple a.? It was actually triple zero. It was not even ready for alpha testing.

Favatar

If you have no idea how to make a video game. Do not make a video game.

Favatar

Tbh. I didn’t even know this game was coming out until the streamer cancelling.

Like never heard of it.

Favatar

I'm convinced the game was written entirely by AI. The dialog is soo awful and unnatural. There's no saving a completely awful story, lack of mission variety, and brain dead dialog between characters.

Favatar

Cyberpunk 2077 had a good story, memorable characters, great soundtracks and immersive world. Problems were on technical level. This pile of #### got nothing of that except problems on technical level.

I remember when seeing the trailer for this game my fiancé and I looked at each other and IMMEDIATELY started making fun of the car designs. We both were like, "knock-off Cyberpunk?"

Favatar

for ex rockstar devs they should have known better

Favatar

Ten years to late and at least one year too early. 😂

Favatar

cyberpunk 2.0

Favatar

Wait there's a game that had worse reviews than Shadowverse Worlds Beyond this year??

Favatar

"And stories of leadership disconnected from reality"
Yeah that seems to be a theme with most leadership from what i've seen. No idea what is actually going on or how to fix problems, can't adequately compensate the workers who actually produce the product or service that pays their inflated salaries, and when financial problems hit… their job is the only one that is safe despite not actually contributing to the product or service (often the person being completely unable to produce those things at all).

2:25 “…that not every player was able to…” mhm so they’re still deluded into thinking the game is actually in an acceptable state and it’s only a few people having problems.

Sure guys, who’s actually out there enjoying this game as the devs intended? I can tell you- the same amount of people getting paid to hate this game: Zero

Maybe studios should stop announcing a release date for games untill they are finished enough…
However now they have a unique oppertunity, they can either focus their ressources onto the next project in the hopes that people will simply forget MindsEye, or they do a CDPR/Hello Games and fix the game to the standart that they want it to have.
I would prefer the second route, a bad launch can make the game better if they fix it, proofing that they dont just dump bad games and move on to the next one until they released a hit someday.

Having watched all of 30 minutes of gameplay, I immediately went and added to my wishlist the watchdog games, because the best thing I can say about Mindseye is that it made me look at a different publisher`s futuristic GTA style games with interest. It also got me into the mood to finally play red faction guerrilla, a game I`ve owned for years but never got around to…

Favatar

Ive never seen such a blatant asset flip as this where they took the main character u play as in mafia 3 (Lincoln, iirc) maybe changed his hair a bit added a new voice actor and just called it a day 😂😂

8:55 so Everywhere is Nowhere

Favatar

Its so buggy youd think it was made by bethesda!

Favatar

arching, dude. overARCHing. unless of course this has something to do with noah's ark.

Favatar

They wanted a Roblox for adults.
They got boxroll instead.
(this is obscure non-English pun)

Favatar

I haven't even seen this advertised, but I've seen enough videos to know it's not good.

Favatar

cyberpunk wasnt as bad as this game on release…cyberpunk was still better then this game when released it may had issues but was still way more fun game.

Favatar

gameplay i seen of this game is horrid, its one those games i wouldnt touch with barge pole..

Favatar

This year is "great" for everyone.

Favatar

Mondsoed

Favatar

So basically, Everywhere went nowhere.

Favatar

All of the money publishers save by cutting corners to meet release deadlines goes back into paying the devs to fix the shitshow.

Favatar

Everywhere is yet another dead OASIS. There's even a company called IOI involved.

Favatar

6:07 > IOI to publish…

Damn. Time to flatline some sixers.

Favatar

why is he looking like wavywebsurfs chubby brother? 🤨

Favatar

The game feels like a watered down cyberpunk

Favatar

It's such a shame because Everywhere sounds really interesting and would be a great tool for independent creators.

Favatar

Why does it look like it’s running on cyberpunk?

Favatar

It's a shame. Bootleg Las Vegas is one of my favorite settings for a game. Between the cool architecture and the ability to go gambling with fake money, it's always a cool place for fucking around.

Favatar

How dare you notice our game is bad stop crticizing us 😢 – game companies

Favatar

They promised plenty of things and delivered nothing. It will be a solid contender for worst game of 2025.

Favatar

people say cyberpunk recovered but all they did was make it not buggy. The base game is as bland and mid as mindseye. I actually do think it would bounce back if they fixed it. not because the base game has any value but because people have extremely low standards as seen by “revival of cyberpunk”

Now everyone, say sorry to Dragon Age: The Failhard. At least the game was actually a FINISHED product, no matter how bad the characters are.

Favatar

so if your a streamer that is PAID to play a game for them to gain sale, you have lost what it means to be a streamer, streamers yes sure you get money from your viewership, k, cool, no biggy but the point im making here is if your s treamer, stream the games YOU want to play and have fun with, if you only care about "makeing a buck" then ya be like the typical streamer mentioned in the video, that stuff upsets me

Favatar

Theres nothing about it thats good, and the consensus is that its so bad, refunds are already being issued in droves.

When CDPR released their Cyberpunk " Tech Demo," and all the promises of new groundbreaking mechinics never seen in a game …….. Then upon its release none of them happened, making it such a disastrous launch that Sony delisted it from their consoles for 100 days….. Then CDPR eventually admitting they "lied" about it….. And then having to work so hard to regain that trust and goodwill to the point they created a temporary department of devs to work soly on fixes, and eventually a total rework….. Which took them 3 years!!"

Now think how much bigger CDPR are than Build A Rocket studio, and how much money and recources CDPR threw to fix Cyberpunk over the 3 years….. And seeing how souless and trash Mindseye is, If Build A Rocket was to attempt to make Mindseye what they promised ( Build A Rocket Blatently lied about everything they promised with Mindseye, too!!) it would take exponentially longer than 3 years to fix, and would most likely ruin them, so its unlikely any fix they attempt will be anywhere near significant enough to justify even calling it a worthwile game, let alone the laughable price tag for a game of such low and poor quality.

Favatar

"Paid actors" lmao where's my check..

When a game sucks, I hate it for free (albeit while wanting it to be better).

Favatar

It’s like a Chinese Cyberpunk 1.0 clone at home with .01% of the depth, none of the interesting lore, and 300% more unplayability… What’s not to love!

Favatar

I once had a boss who thought every time the website was slow or someone had flagged our emails as spam, it was "a competitor trying to destroy us".
Well, the good thing for the devs was, they weren't blamed for anything…

Favatar

Why does the protagonist mouth look like that though?
