Over the past two years there’s been a notable decline of original content for Dead by Daylight. The last truly great additions to the game were Sable and Unknown with the All Things Wicked Chapter, which released in March 2024. Nearly two years ago now.

How could Houndmaster be a PIRATE? As far as I know,women were never allowed to be pirates,it was only men.
So yeah this makes her more bizarte than what she already is

ever since krasues release she has been my main, i think what makes other people find her less interesting is mainly that her infection has no other uses other than starting her chase. other characters with infection have more unique mechanics, even nemesis has the chest and reveal that make it risky to cleanse. mushrooms are just so easy to get to the point that her infection has no macroplay, shes purely a chase killer. i also think a big thing that makes her less fun to play is that she has the skull merchant effect where even after all her nerfs, survivors dc against her constantly.
As a Thai person the Krasue wasn't as boring as u say bc the marketing involved Thai people talking about their own stories with krasues. Try looking in to some real stories of krasues!

No one plays houndmaster cause she is buggy and aestetically bizarre. People don’t care about historical accuracy, if you advertise someone as a pirate, big woman with dog dressed like a rich sailor is not what people want.

I had no idea Houndmaster was supposed to be a pirate, and I had no clue who Orela Rose even was until this video, I just somehow entirely missed her release and still haven't seen anyone playing her.
To put it square, people don’t like Taurie because she’s not “pretty” and she doesn’t have 1,000 cosmetics after release plus I’m sure the black vale scar on your chin and throat I’m sure people find very unappealing but I will continue to support my little entity worshiper

Surprised you didn’t mention how they cancelled the casting of Frank Stone chapter, it’s actually sad because it was an original character and a chapter that I bet many looked forward to seeing it in DBD, im still pissed about them cancelling it. It definitely would’ve been a success especially because of Frank Stone’s unique power.
Taurie has cool lore and is all round a great character. However most dbd players don't know jack shit about the lore and only go for the cute or sexy survivors.
Taurie all doe looking cool, she has a shaved head which is not something a lot of people find attractive and i assume a lot of people expected her to be way more goth.
Vee on the other hand, is a cute asian woman, thats really all it takes lmao
Don’t forget that the Krasue was also very overshadowed by the horrendous 9.1.0 (I think is the patch) changes. Everybody was too busy freaking out over that then recognizing what we actually got.
